Humblesam:Is Jigawa,Kano,Yobe,Borno etc more developed than Ebonyi state? I am not talking abt d state capitals, I mean their villages? Cos I've been to 90% of d states in d north too,and I know what I am talking abt. Don't compare death and life pls. |

Re: Images: Three Most Backward And Poorly Governed Nigerian States by Humblesam(m): 12:50pm On Jun 08, 2015 |
dokyOloye: Most backward and poorly governed state we are talking about here mind you, because if it was development, Osun and Abia won't be in that list there. Ebonyi deserves better than what I saw last term I was there,I will always say it. |

Vikkie14: I'm not pro-apc or pro- aregbe but d guy tried. If op based his write up on salary alone aregbe and osun state should not be d only scape goat. He might not do well in paying the workers but that doesn't make osun one of d backward state. Maybe op need to visit osun @ least for once and stop all ds hearsay trash. Aregbe is performing wonderfully in all sectors. I don't like him personally but he's d best so far since d creation of the state. |

Humblesam:Apart from Kaduna and plateau,Ebonyi state is more developed than all d states in d north.maybe U can add Nassarawa and Benue, but in terms of development esp when U compare life in d rural villages, even d Kaduna I mean in this case is southern Kaduna, forget abt d towns including Zaria,Ebonyi and Abia are far ahead of ALL states in d north. My brother, ppl are still living in cave-like era in this our country ooo. Pls,don't compare sleep and death. Even in terms of embezzlement and misgovernance, most Northern states rank higher than Ebonyi and Abia, but I wonder why they are never in d news. What they generally do to govt funds in d north is kill and divide, but U know that the feudal culture makes their masses see that as normal. 2 Likes |

nonaira: If u are not stupi;;d, u wud have asked on what criteria was I judging uduaghan? What is the allocation of Osun state, compare it with the allocation of Delta state and tell me why Uduaghan shud not replace Ibori in jail. Ibori's govt was felt in Delta state. Nobody felt the leadership of ur mentor Uduaghan. Did u hear the accountant General of Delta state disappeared some days to handover, do u know the reason? Ode. |

Osun state and poorly governed does not really gel. I guess the op takes nairaland too seriously, i must confess SW states administrators are always placed on the spot light and hot list than their other counterparts in the media, Several states are owing salaries,Even Plateau state is owing more months than Osun state 7months. Why Aregbesola is typically assessed with a different standard is not fathomable yet? 1 Like |

After viewing the topic without opening the thread,in my heart I already know Abia will be there...That state is suppose to be among the top 3 in Nigeria but anyway,we may lend u Obiano after his 6th tenure |

Humblesam: And when was the last time you were there? All those calling for Ebonyi are obviously either stereotyping or just being mischievous. Just for the records, I'm not from the state, but I honestly cannot rank Ebonyi among the states that are poorly governed. Having visited well over 18 states in Nigeria, I can say for a fact that given the states' lean resources, the Elechi leadership didnt do too badly - it just a few months to the end of second tenure that he started misbehaving. Likewise I concede Osun shouldn't be there. or are are you expecting him to start sacking workers en mass? For Benue, I would say Suswan started out quite well. but gradually lost focus after his second term. I was in Zaki Biam then and can attest to some of the developmental prjects he started. Kogi rightly deserves the list. Abia was well. Sentiments aside, those two states should be doing a LOT better than they are currently. |

Ihedioha2015: u ar an idìot....a big fool. U chose "federal character" over objectiveness. U took three different states from three different geopolitical zones and present them as the three most 'backward' in the ENTIRE country. Its only a dimwit like u dat will come up with dis sort of shoddy research work. What was d criteria for the most backward in the ENTIRE country. Bad roads and unpaid salaries??!*..... What of standard of living?? Are all d people living in these states govt. workers?? What are the positions of these states in d various education and development indices?? Did u even research into ALL d northern states to reach ur conclusion?? I dont blame u. If it werent for the crackhead who brought this to the FP, I would have been spared this trash. 2 Likes |

I just want to say this for record purpose that if Abia is dirty it is the handiwork of the people living in it not the Government because if you call the Government you are still referring to the people by virtue of its definition and democracy. I wish to tell those who care to hear that ABA residence are the worst and most lawless citizens I have ever seen in my life ,they don't even think they have any responsibility they owe the state not to talk of giving back to the state for putting in place a safe and a conducive environment for their daily business. I am happy that our incumbent Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is an UKWA NGWA man and an ABA brought up who knows much about the ancient city,I urge him to try as much as possible to clean up ABA if it requires him relocating some of the major markets situated along the major roads he should that for his administration to succeed.
