Please everyone, did you upload a digital photo while filling the DS 160 form?
Also, do you need any documents for Visa fee payment @GTB?

Thanks in anticipation of a helpful response.

Nope. No uploading of a digital photo when filling out the DS160 form. You staple it physically to the passport section after printing your DS160.

You would need your international passport to pay your visa fee at GT Bank. They stop accepting payments at 3 pm I think.

Hello people. please help me with these questions.

Please how can I do send my transcript for evaluation with WES?
do they accept scanned copies?.
of the three types of evaluation they do which one do I apply for?
How is it charged for and what means of payment do they accept?
If the WES evaluation is completed will they send it to me or will the evaluating body send it to the school?
How long does the evaluation take to come out?

Hi there!
What process have you taken to arrive at this stage?

You seem to have surpassed all process off finding a suitable school and getiing your I-20.

Please do share all the steps you've taken.

Hi stewie.... U need to research schools online. Check this following criteria
1. There GRE requirements and TOEFL. Some have it on their dept website those that don't u will av to purr the internet for it. But trust me u cn get an idea online. Knowing this is so that u cn manage ur expectation and not applying to MIT wen ur scores can only get u into a far lower ranking school.
2. Ensure u meet the deadlines so u cn be considered for assistantships. For must schools it's automatic to be considered once u meet the departmental deadline which is different from the school deadline.
3. Consider costs. State schools and public schools are cheaper.
4.dream high and aim low together. Apply to schools ur scores meet are below and are above. Mostly apply to more schools that ur scores are above their requirements
4a. Research on the graduate faculty to know their research interests and align ur statement of purpose to what research is 'hot' in that school.
5.Ensure ure in close contact with admission office and your intended school dept and ask for advice thru emails anytime you're in doubt.
6. Write a solid statement of purpose. Take your time to do this. Let people proof read it for u. Don't let it be last minute.
7. Ensure you get very good letters of reference from your undergraduate lecturers. Most Nigerian lecturers are lazy. Some may allow you to write it for them. Grab this opportunity. The ones that won't, ensure you see what they are sending and you're fine with it.
8. Get ur admission or admission with grad assistantship.
9. Keep contacting the grad faculty and grad admissions till u get ur visa for other post admission and visa requirements.
10. Will be updated when I get a visa by God's grace.
11. Give all glory to God and upload your visa interview success transcript with the VO. To help other nairalanders

Sorry to hear about your denial.
I'm a pharmacist and whenever Americans hear of Pharmacy and Medicine they think of huge loans they have to pay off in order to get their kids off to Medical / Pharmacy school, and most times students get backlogs and can't even finish when due.
This is perhaps why that VO needed clarification. It's obvious that they were not convinced about your ability to pay for the really expensive pharmacy school.
Sometimes its all about perception.
I think you should reapply if you have a really good financial backing considering the previous denials have a link to your financial ability...so to speak.

GOODLUCK
thanks a lot .I will reapply with a stronger bank statement.
