laminaria: I'm sorry to hear about this bro, just be strong and NEVER give up on your dream. As suggested by a few forum members, I'm gonna advise that you try the SVP route. I read one of your posts that you are worried about changing courses - I do no think that that is going to be a problem as it is normal for people to change their career path, oyinbos also do it. All you'll need to do is to present a believable Statement of Purpose (SOP) when applying to visa explaining the main reason for such change -- I am happy to help contribute to the SOP when you get to that stage, God's willing. All the best broda... 3 Likes |

iykosman: Although you do not need to include a statement of account when applying for visa under SVP route, the school will def ask for it before your Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) document can be issued. You'll also be asked to make part payment of your tuition and full payment of health insurance. Yes it is possible for the Embassy to request for it as they have the rights to do so, however the chances that they will ask for it are really really really slim, you feel me? 1 Like |

bossladymo1: Abi madam wan change me to geologist and the geologist to accountant lol. To your question, like the geologist said, all the assessing authorities usually give an estimate of their processing time and its to find out which is the fastest. But for any accountant that wish to pursue a career in accounting related field and hope to get a professionl certification in OZ, my advice will be to use CPA. CPA because they are well regarded in the market as least when compared to the other accounting bodies. Just a little edge but it may not always be the case. My 2 cent |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by prechear(m): 10:27am On Jun 09, 2015 |
bossladymo1 Sorry for the late response. Accounting Theory is not mandatory for external auditors but I dnt know for Accountants. I didn't have accounting theory and it was optional in my case. Your friends assessment result shld tell what the problem really is because they usaully state the reason for whether +/- result. |

Just saw this. You'd pay 6000 AUD, before you get your COE. You'd have to pay roughly around 12k, by the end of July when classes resume. You take 4 courses a semester, each course is 6 units. Each unit, is about 770 dollars. Do the maths. omooba2015: |

You won't get asked for your bank statement at the 'interview'. There's actually no interview, you just submit your documents at the Teleperformance office. However, you might get called for a phone interview, you can't show your bank statement over the phone. iykosman: |

My school did not ask for a statement of account before they issued a COE. Are you certain, the school will 'definitely' ask for it? FutureDon: |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by missakomaye(f): 11:03am On Jun 09, 2015 |
laminaria: While speaking with my course cordinator, i asked that question and she said you can reapply anytime. And as a Travel consultant i know that when it comes to visas (business or pleasure) you can reapply immediately after denial. I am assuming therefore that student visa should be so. If you doubt it you can call teleperformance Lagos or Pretoria and just ask to be clear. 1 Like |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by FutureDon(m): 11:31am On Jun 09, 2015 |
ernestudezi: I apologize for the misinformation. iykosman - you will be asked by your Uni to sign a Declaration of Financial Capacity form confirming that you have the required money and not necessarily provide a statement of account. That is the common practice, however it may vary across schools. |

Yes I use. I doubt if only our Accounting B.sc equates to OZ B.sc. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by FutureDon(m): 11:38am On Jun 09, 2015 |
laminaria: I believe you'll be able to reapply asap since your rejection wasn't based on submission of bogus documents. I reckon it's still gonna take a few weeks before you gain admission, make payments, receive COE etc... Thus, I suggest you commence the processing as soon as you can. Unfortunately, I can't read your mail as I have not been able to access my email attached to my nairaland ID. I will try changing it later. 1 Like |

tanks to @missakomaye: I hope so too, @futuredon: not at all abt any bogous (fake docs) refusal was just base on home tie, not filling some section... I have schools n courses that reaches to adv diploma(community health related) whc qualifies me for SVP...one has sept intake and all have Feb next yr intake too...so am tinking if Pretoria won't see desperation in me for that sept intake. yes I can get everything set for sept intake. 1 Like |

omooba2015: Not with certainty. I said " I doubt". You may want to give it a try. Only your Accounting B.sc MAY not cut it. Chookudi's gf used only her accounting B.sc but didn't get a +ive assessment although she had ICAN. Our B.sc syllabus is not robust enough to cover all the mandatory subjects needed for a +ive assessment. |

^^^ You need at least 7.0 in all the band and not average of 7.0 Go to Engineer Australia website to see the requirements for assessment. Those are the two stuff you need to kick start your goal. 3 Likes |
