Details have emerged on how former Vice-
President Atiku Abubakar and the five
governors who in late 2013 defected to the All
Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) worked against the
emergence of Senator Ahmad Lawan as Senate
President.
THISDAY gathered that Atiku and the five
governors were uncomfortable with the rising
touted political wizadry of APC national leader,
Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and decided to
“cut him to size.”
Two of the former governors - Rabi’u Musa
Kwakwanso and Aliyu Wammako (Kano and
Sokoto States) were recently elected into the
Senate. Kwara State Governor, Ahmed
Abdulfatah, is the political protégé of the new
Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
They reportedly used their influence to stop
Lawan believed to be Tinubu’s candidate.
THISDAY gathered that Wammako had also
used his successor, the new governor of Sokoto
State, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, the immediate
past Speaker of the House of Representatives,
to reach out to returning House members to
support Hon. Yakubu Dogara in emerging the
House of Representatives Speaker.
Few hours after the APC national leadership
rejected the emergence of Saraki and Dogara
as Senate President and Speaker respectively,
Atiku issued a statement congratulating the
duo.
“Irrespective of the political mix through which
the presiding officers emerged,...the eighth
National Assembly should never lose focus of
its role as a partner in progress with the other
arms of government, especially the executive
arm,” the former vice-pesident, in apparent
reaction to the APC said threat to sanction the
two principal officers.

Even the Dead Ray charles can from the grave see through Atiku's ill concealed 2019 presidential ambition. Unfortunately it further re inforces OBJ's assertion that his ambition is far above National interest.

Atiku's joy will be shortlived cos once the dust settles, he will go back to his sidelines, he is NEVER GOING TO RULE NIGERIA.

CAVEAT;
I am not God & don't have any control over Atiku's destiny but he is incomparable to Buhari, if he could be president his money would have done it since.

He lacks the two basic "ingredients" for the present day Nigeria's presidency which are; Northern cult like following and Southern support... He enjoys NEITHER!!

He totally dollarised the APC's presidential primaries & only came a distant third to PMB who with all the "assistance" he got didn't spend a 1/4 of what he did..Kwakwanso will be a president before he ever does.

We should not give credit to those who do not merit it. What role did they play in making Dogara and Saraki emerging victorious. Dogara won by just 182 to 174, while the 49 PDP senators and Bukola's supporters in APC that elected them leaders. Had the five governors contributed the margin in HoR would have been much wider.

People must learn to appreciate change and transformation, this is new Nigeria where everything is possible...meanwhile kudos to the tenacity of the PDP senators who got back to be part of the leadership of the national assembly.Am also looking forward to Mr president in the true spirit of change,to appoint technocrats and professionals from any party as his
minister, Nigeria must come first.

Different versions from different sources, Tinubu must have been over bearing. Even as an APC supporter, I can't just stop thinking he's the one causing disagreement within the party.

Lie lie story

You should know that only eight APC senators were present at the Senate chambers when Saraki was declared winner.

Akpabio brought the idea of Saraki/Ekweremadu as the only condition for their (PDP) support.

There is a serious battle of supremacy in APC between the Tinubu camp and the Atiku(N-PDP) camp. The atiku camp felt they are being sidelined as the tinubu camp produced the VP and the party chairman. The choice of the senate president and house of reps was a time for the atiku camp to strike and they were successful by subduing the tinubu camp. They will always reach out to the PDP when the need arises.

Its all a game of politics you know! At the end, they are still APC members.

Now we can rebuild Nigeria.

No single man should think he is above all.

Power comes only from above.

Your wife senator

Your daughter Iyaloja of Lagos

Your in-laws fixed into elective positions.

Only you appoint all commissioners in Lagos

Only you fixed all political officers in SW without recourse to democratic process or rule of law.

Tinubu, YOUR TIME IS UP!!!!!!

What are you waiting for ?..............

The chess game continues....

Actually....it is PDP who is the real plotter here(Not in the way you think, before anyone jumps on me!).

PDP , by making the Senate president a Fulani, and the Speaker a Hausa Christian .....has successfully driven a wedge between the North and the Middle Belt and South West tripod that makes up APC.

First move towards 2019 (As any good Olympian/sportsperson will tell you....preparations for the next Olympics start from the day after the closing ceremonies of the last one).

Move 1 to the PDP....let's hope APC counters any move by the PDP to gain their queen and declare a checkmate....BY working extra hard to make Nigeria an industrial society which means jobs....and a means to ride out the oil crisis.

The only way these people can downsize Tinubu's power is surely outside the APC and That's even when it has to be decided between the PDP & APC members due to the fact that the top shots amongst them are former PDP big chieftains,in other words, Tinubu will surely defeat them within the APC which was what happened at the MOCK ELECTION.

These so-called Atiku's camp are even lucky cos the PDP legislators wanted their own pounds of flesh back to what happened in 2011

Well,i,m indifferent about the whole situation but more rumors and facts will emerge in the next few hours,im just keeping my fingers crossed and smiling wink
