nkowaputa:Reap where they did not sow? Nonsense. This hype about tinubu is outragous. How many votes did tinubu mobilize for buhari compared to what kwankwanso alone gathered in kano. The difference between APC's total votes and that of PDP in Lagos State was a mere one hundred thousand votes compared to 1.9M votes from kano. Forget that ranting jare. |

We must applaud Tinubu for his contributions to the advancement of democracy in Nigeria, given his role in the emergence of Buhari as our president. Having said that, I think he went overboard by influencing APC to conduct unconstitutional mock elections of Senate President and Speaker of the house positions. Nigerians knew that Tinubu was primarily behind the mock elections but Tinubu's recent successes must have made him overconfident and underate the maturity of NASS elect-members as far as democracy is concerned. Frankly, most Nigerians are very unconfortable with Tinubu's new found power and are kind of happy that he may have been cut to size. But come o, how can 51 of Tinubu's boys in the Senate disappear to supposedly go on consultations with Buhari without having their aides and others monitor the activities in NASS or at least leave one senator in place to monitor Saraki's activities? nwannem. I smell a real rat! Democracy has come to Nigeria and Parade has indeed changed gear! May God continue to bless this great country, Amin. |

Firefire: For once I agree with you. Tinubu needs to chill, he doesn't even want to just pick some anymore, he wants all. Power needed to be distributed among the party leaders so that one person doesn't feel the day starts abd ends with them. I won't be too quick to say his time is up however but he has definitely been served a huge slice of humble pie. Actually I think he was served the whole pie. How he quickly dusts this off and moves on is what is going to determine if his time is up or not. |

new2020:let wait and see but font complain why all that is planned for the south south and south east are blocked by the North and the Yoruba's look the other side because of people filled with ethnic sentiments; eg. 13% oil derivation that the north is planning to reduce to 8%, the massive development of the south south that the west have placed on Bihar's table & the south east holding sensitive positions but since you prefer deputy senate President then stick with it as politricks just stated. The Yoruba's have always been opposition since independence and still have the most developed region in Nigeria. Let's see how things turn out but I wish many people don't cry when reality unfolds. |

Rotimi47: Most developed region the country? Ignorant yoruba man...This is what happened when you don't travel out of your region. SE is the most developed region in Nigeria. Followed by SS. All SW states are undeveloped except Lagos which was developed by largely Federal government, foreigners and non yorubas. |

Where in the history of Nigeria has an opposition party produce the deputy senate president and the senate leader? As far as i am concern, pdp used Apc to make history. It has never happened before. Good for democracy |

dokyOloye: The difference between Atiku & PMB is in the northern cult following, Atiku can't get nothing done beyond Adamawa, he won't even get the support of the SW&NC if he ttries, wish you knew how much he expended for APC's primaries !!! Atiku has spent an inordinate amount of money & what has it gotten him. Kwakwanso & El Rufai will taste that post before he can EVER do. |

This is a treacherous act and a bad precedent for our democracy. The overall effect of this is a political backstab to the Nigeria citizen, where personal interest overwhelms political party ideology and likewise national interest. I believe some people are aghast about the political relevance of some leaders of the APC, but staging a coup is nothing but disloyalty to the platform that supported your political ambition. The result of this ruthless coup may consequently unable APC to deliver on the electoral promises it made to the Nigeria electorate and ends the CHANGE process the Nigeria people desperately deserve. The quality of candidate that have emerged at the legislature are either tainted with corruption or sympathetic to a corrupt process. Hence, what was the benefit of standing under the sun and in the dark to cast a vote if some over zealous and radically ambitious persons hijack a process beautifully conceived to enhance the choice of the people. Finally, I am ashamed that the PDP cannot absorb in good faith, the fact that they are now a party in opposition, but to continue to plot, disgracefully, in a manner that made the Nigeria electorate to kick them out. Likewise, it is a shame that the APC cannot put its house in order and resolve its conflicts. The show play of yesterday's event really makes one contemplate whether APC is not a mirror image of PDP or even worse. I would advise the APC leadership - identify the disgruntled fellows within your ranks and expel them. It is better they join the opposition than create rancor. This will create an environment for discipline and ensure that the ideologies of the party are religiously followed. No member's interest should be bigger than its political party and likewise no political party interest should be bigger than the Nigerian people. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If you Bukola Saraki could impose Ahmed Ali as kwara speaker, so what are we saying... None of you people are better that tinubu... When will the S.West ever learn. Their so called general's always lead them astray and get betrayed at the end. Afonja aligned with Alimi against his Yoruba,he was brutally murdered. Awo aligned with Gowan bt was betrayed by Abiola n Obj which led to his suicide. Abiola did same with NPN,IBB n Abacha but was given tea laced with otapiapia. Tinubu the new Yoruba general has made the same mistake too. We are watching what will become of him although we know who the real losers are now. A tribe of Judas will end up like Judas. |
