No need of waiting for Barcanista to answer your sluggish question; let me help him out. I hope you and all your sympathetic Apc members knew very well that 9th June was slated for the inaguration of National assembly members. What are they doing in ICC? Is that the venue for the inuagration? Why will the Apc try to shut down the National assembly? 38 members are needed to form a quorum, and they are 59. 50 people cannot hold Nigeria at ransom. Even if they refuse to come to the senate, nobody will recognise their absence. Apc cannot hold Nigeria at ransom. They had 2 weeks to put their house in order after swearing-in, why calling for such crucial meeting on the day slated for swearing in.

Pdp played a fast one on their naveity. Apc should brace up to the challenges ahead. Pdp will always capitalize on any slighest mistake from the Apc. This is a big lesson for them.

According to the clerk of the National Assembly, the constitution requires 37 members to form a quorum; two-third of the members of the house.

So Mr. Upnepaa, i see nothing unconstitutional here.

Moreover, reports came out that the president called the APC members-elect to a meeting to delay the inauguration of which he was later advised not to attend the meeting cos of his stance from dabbling into the NASS leadership.

2.is it good for our democracy that a party should postpone the inauguration of the second arm of govt to hold its Caucus meeting. Or
3.is it good for our democracy that after the head of state had sent its letter of declaration to announce and initiate the beginning of a legislative calender,a party leadership instructs its newly elected members and returning members to ignore or behave otherwise whilst the clerk of house and all protocol are present.

Absoutely crass inexperience by d APC leadership as put by Olisa Metuh. How can u̶̲̥̅̊ hold a meeting on d same day when d inaguration will hold. It's like having an exam 2 write at 10:00am only 2 find still look 4 special centre at 9:00am that same daay. Had Saraki and his gang attended that meeting, PDP cud have usurp d authority of house and no court can upturn it. PDP had the opportunity of claiming the senate presidency. A very clear opportunity. Just decided to stand by their words. How can u have inauguration at the National Assembly at 10am and decide to go and have caucus meeting at 9am at ICC. For those that don't know abuja, even with all the roads cleared, u can't get from ICC to National Assembly hall in at least 45 minutes to 1 hour, unless you use helicopter

Its okI some say Tinubu will bounce back...but the distance btween Lagos to Abuja make take another four years to cover. Its not just a staright road and definitely not for learners

to form quorum, u need 1/3rd of the members present. That's 1/3rd of 109, which is about 38 or 39. To win senate presidency, it's simple majority of votes of members present, which was 57 when Bukola Saraki was nominated, and 76 when Ike ekwerenmadu and ndume vied for deputy senate president. All requirements of the law were met
