i believe there are still christians there (Turkey). Also, I doubt if it was ever a christian country; that the churches were located therein does not make it a christian country. In any case the messages to those churches is still applicable to the church today.

The names, Smyrna, pegamos, Ephesus, Philadephia, Loadecea, etc, are used to refer to or typed the conditions of the church generally, with each church having its own perculiarity, in strenght, in pains, in deeds, and in doctrines etc..
It was not as if all begins and ended in soTurkey..

It was just like the book of Corithians talking about and addressing the happenings at the church back then, which has now become a BOOK OF CORRECTION to the present day churches. Does it imply the church has ended since Corithians is no more today? No!

Also, it was just like the Holy Spirit that fell on the day of pentecost long time ago. Now, do we still have to go back to Jerusalem, gather in one corner (probably in the back of Nentanyahul's bathroom), and wait before you can get it? ..
Or does it mewan people today are no longer getting that awesome Holy Spirit, now that pentecost is gone?

The Church in Laodicea were asked to read the Epistle to the Colossians by Paul in chapter 4

For some of these places, the names have changed.

no yu ar wrong! they were never guided to islam! it was taken by force and all churches were converted to mosques (including hagia sophia - d biggest church in constantinople). all christain were forced to become moslem. hagia sophia was later converted to a moslem museum and so it is till date!

btw, the region where these churches were located, back then was known as Asia Minor.

Wait!!! Are these Muslims not the same guys who say allah and Jehovah are the same God? So why the convertion from Jehovah to allah? Why the killings of the jews and christians? We serve the same God right? Then why must jew or christian needs to convert to islam?
