Until that day, there was no "8 NASS".... because it has yet not been INAUGURATED. IT IS NOT "IN SESSION"
As of that point, a sworn-in President has overriding powers to that of the "Clerk", who is a Civil Servant (Not an elected official).

1.) The Senate is "inaugurated" when the elected Senators do their first sitting (the inauguration sitting)

2.) In this INAUGURATION SITTING, the Principal officers of the NASS are ELECTED.


I dont know if you follow the string of process and procedure l am trying to explain here.

Then, the NASS becomes "active"... with its ensuing Powers....and the President can no longer change their Calendar because they are now "IN SESSION"

The man said his roots are Fulani. Who are you to dispute that. Bear in mind that he was selected to vie for the senate presidency by virtue of his North Central origins. As a bona fide Yoruba man, he would have been disqualified from contesting.
