In as much as there is freedom of association for the speaker but the circumstances surrounding his emergence and the tide of the present time would have made him to be more cautious in his current visits. Its not wrong par say but he needs to give room for trust and love to develop between him and his party members. He would have just shelved this visit for now.

Kai... ur such an intelligent man and you made so much sense with your post.

How can we call someone a thief and we see him dancing with a goat in the open market...

The yoruba doing fine face to vote a northern against the very beloved Gej,thinking with that they will garner speaker,VP etc.

PDP will produce their choice northern president come 2019.

Buhari is just floating and preparing the way for a choice northerner president.

;So I share same DOB with that man?

the love affair between the speaker house of reps, Senate president and pdp is what I am yet to understand.

just thinking aloud though

Look at it this way. If SP can keep enough PDP senators on his side, even if APC wish to remove him, they cannot muster 2/3 majority needed to do so. grin cheesy

Now the question is: if a simple majority is enough to elect SP, why does it need 2/3 to unseat him/her? What were the writers of the constitution thinking? To ensure legislative stability?? If that is the case, isn't it also important that a similar 2/3 elect the SP to ensure broad support & integrity?

A lesson for the yorubas they thought they've formed a Star Allianz with the north.
A big joke, northerners are more united they always use the yoruba weakness to check and south

The mistake we make is to think our politicians align with political parties over difference in ideologies, they do so over self-interest and political ambition. APC and PDP are not enemies, they are simply same Nigerian politicians associating in the best interest of their ambitions and interest.
When I tell people that I don't vote, they accuse me of being unpatriotic. Now who's unpatriotic? Is it me that refuses to vote in scammers who can't be trusted or the scammers who will lie to get there and then loot our common wealth and deprive us of better life. The happenings in the National Assembly is not surprising to me. It was bound to happen-Doyin Okupe said predicted it in 2013. I'm sure he'll be laughing wherever he is now.

Yorubas are the greatest betrayals I have ever known.

Why are they complaining now? You betrayed GEJ a fellow southerner and expect a northerner to protect your interest? Na true.....

Him being a member of APC doesn't mean that he won't talk to people in the opposition side. Politics in nigeria has actually turned to something else. That's why we aint growing.
