Solid fuels are the slowest form of energy. So your coal will only be viable if converted to liquid fuel through Bergius process. Solar energy cannot be stored for long. Or have u seen anywhere solar energy can be stored in large quantity? Nope! Except we can do like Germany.

Wind? Don't kid yourself, Nigeria doesn't have that kind of wind of generate the kind of energy we need.

Apparently the govt is not in full control of the security situation in the country. I don't think it is acceptable to gamble with the lives of thousands or perhaps millions of Nigerians for "development" until the security apparatus is fully functional

apart from that too, even in this unfriendly relationship Russia is having with the U.S in the international front, I don't think it will go down well for Russia to build a nuclear power plant for us. The U.S may look for ways to make Nigeria pay heavily.

First and foremost, we outnumber them so 3,000 megawatts will not be enough. 3,000 megawatts for five years will not change our situation and will not boost industrialisation.

Nuclear is the answer. Later, the money we get from the industrialisation of our economy through nuclear power plants, we can delve into other sources of energy.
