German Government Not Happy With Buhari by helinues: 5:31pm On Jun 12, 2015 |
Nigerians were shocked when President Buhari was referring the German Chancellor, Merkel as President Michelle. Sadly Buhari is not aware that the Western Germany do not exist again as a country since the 1985 he was Nigerian Head of State, as it was merged to be known as Germany in 1990. For those Nigerians that said that Buhari should produce NEPA bill instead of certificate, this is the shame you people brought to the country. I went there and I was asked to brief the G7 and I was impressed with the tremendous sympathy they have for this sub-region, the Lake Chad Basin Commission. Their humanitarian approach to the issue to say the least is very very impressive and all of them, not only in Europe; from President Obama to the Chairman of G7 President Michelle of West Germany and french President. barcanista: No one is subjecting him to ridicule. The man is giving a feedback on the meeting he went for. He saw the president of West Germany in the meeting. The constitution of Nigeria wanted us to have a president who finished secondary school and as such can can have some basic knowledge required for success. You people said even without completing secondary education, you wanted him, now you have him. Live with it. we just hope he doesn't call South Africa, apartheid South Africa and doesn't call Russia, Soviet Union. 6 Likes |

ogb5: How does what he calls countries affect his governance Below is a quote by a US president "Vice President mentioned Nigeria is a fledgling democracy. We have to work with Nigeria. That's an important continent." - George W. Bush, Presidential debate, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Oct. 11, 2000 4 Likes |

Whichever way you look at it, these errors by Buhari do send a message out to the international community - that we have a president who is not really clued up. They could look to take advantage of that. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Not sure if true , but it's one of the most sensitive subjects among the Germans, second only to holocaust. I would imagine Eastern Germans, especially those with Austrian origin taking offense to this. No big deal still. 3 Likes 1 Share |
