Anambra is the only state that can survive 100% without federal allocation and to top it all...it has zero debt. Lagos is in debt...huge debt. It borrows heavily to supplement its IGR. Lagos is no different from Osun, Ondo, Ogun; if non yorubas desert Lagos, its IGR will fall and the same situation in Osun will repeat in Lagos. Be careful how you talk to non yorubas will pay more in taxes and duties to Lagos coffers to ward off Osun situation.

Ekiti is proposing to send their children to Onitsha to learn a trade and yorubas are crying
They won't humble themselves and learn
Na to make mouth
Many Osun families are now on the streets,a report says
People dropping dead from hunger
That's what happens when a people depend entirely on almajiri lifestyle for food

You don't have money to pay salary but you have enough to campaign with.

There's no Gej to blame now...

Let's be fair to the man. Yes the man has shown to be an imcompetent and lazy administrator but the system should share the blame. This feeding bottle system is killing us. The call for fiscal federalism so as to allow federating units autonomy should be taken seriously. Governance is about development beyond salaries. Many states practically does nothing but waiting for "oyel" money and ofcourse loans.

And they said no FG presence in their states under GEJ, and now they are confessing. Giving you FG allocation for salaries so you can use your IGR for "capital projects" etc. But they never appreciated.

GEJ, always a hero.

Honestly speaking ,I don't blame aregbe, he is doing exactly what he planned and set out to do and that is to recoup all the money he spent on his reelection and buhari election, I know this issue may linger till october ,God willing. It is the people who I blame ,when fayose raised an alarm that aregbe was owing workers salary last year before his reelection, many osun state ppl came online here and started bashing fayose and pdp, when aregbe was throwing them 100naira recharge cards ,they were happy and laughing ,when he gave them 2kongos of rice, fufu and broom ,sebi they were brandishing their teeth and smilling . Now aregbe is collecting back his money, dem dey complain. Dem think say aregbe be father xmas? By the time it is august ,osun workers neck will be like street light.

Loooooooooool @neck being like street light

When crisis is beyond the control of an administrator? What Ogbeni has been doing before that he seems incapable of piloting affairs of the State again? He shouldn't have stated this, being reelected governor. One will wonder if he has nessed up during his first tenure! Time for the people of the State to believe in themselves and with their hands and brains lift the State up from the sinking sand. AND AGAIN TIME FOR OGBENI TO FACE THE REALITY AND STOP FEEDING HIS PEOPLE WITH EMPTY PROMISES OR CAMPAIGN LIES. PROMISES ARE EASIER STATED THAN FULFILLED.
Re: Osun Crisis, Beyond My Control – Aregbesola by obinto: 6:09am On Jun 13, 2015
No bail out from federal govt. Ogbeni should trim the state's expenditures in the light of dwindling resources. The chopper has to go. His security vote should be mobilised to other public needs. Reduce the political appointees and all the merry go rounds. Increase internally generated revenues. Importantly cut off Tinubu, if he is a leech. Possibly trim down the payroll by cutting down the no of civil servants, most of whom are redundant anyway. By all means, do whatever is necessary to manage your resources. Federal govt is not father xmas

at the bolded. This is the reason why I keep telling Niger Deltans that resource control is a mirage which the rest of the non oil producing states will fight to the last drop of their blood to avoid. Which of the Houses would pass a law for resource control when their salaries/allowances are also dependent on it?
