List Of States Owing Salaries Of 6 Months And Above? Why Single Out Osun State? by NgeneUkwenu(f): 1:47pm On Jun 13, 2015 |
Why the Focus only Osun, why Some states are even owing 9months Salary? Abia State for example paid it's last salaries on November 30th 2014. Why can't we expose all of them? Why in a 18 Cans of worms, we Choose only one can to open? The following States are owing Six Months and above: Benue State Kogi State: Platue State Bauchi State Imo State Abia State Osun State Enugu( Parastals are owed 12month arrears) Read Below: The Punch reports that Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Imo, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kogi. Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers and Zamfara owe their employees salary arrears of at least 6 months, citing a task force report by the Nigeria Labour Congress. According to the paper, “The report of the Task Force of the NLC revealed that while some of the states had paid salaries of workers up to date, they were owing arrears of pensions running into months. The states owing salaries or pensions are Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Imo, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, and Kogi. Others are Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers and Zamfara states. The report says that Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Borno, Delta, Edo, the FCT, Gombe, Kaduna, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Sokoto and Taraba are not indebted to their workers. The report paints a bleak picture of civil service workers across the country. Take Abia for example. The report states that it has not paid the salaries of workers at the State Teaching Hospital for nine months. The state is also said to be owing workers of the Hospital Management Board eight months’ salary; Abia State Universal Basic Education Board, six months; Abia State Polytechnic, five months; local government workers, four months; and teachers, three months’ salary arrears. Enugu may have paid the salaries of civil servants till date, but parastatals are owed 12 months’ salaries and pension and gratuity payments haven’t been issued since 2010. For other states, the picture is a sorry one. Osun, on average, owes six months’ in salary and pension payments; Plateau, six months in salaries and seven months in pension entitlements; Benue, five months of salaries and four months of pension benefits; Kogi, four months in arrears of pension and salary payments; and Oyo, which owes three months in salaries and between five and 11 months of pension payments. States which are likely to owe salaries and pension of workers well into the commencement of the incoming administration’s tenure on May 29 include Ekiti, which is already in arrears of state employee salaries for three months; Jigawa, which owes judiciary workers a month in salary arrears; Ondo, which owes a month’s salary and pension payments, while Ogun also owes a month of salary payments but a mind-boggling 52 months of unremitted pension deductions to the Pension Fund Administration. While Zamfara has paid workers’ salaries up to date, the salaries of workers recruited in 2014 have not been paid. The NLC Task Force also fingered Rivers State for owing one month’s worth of pay and three months worth of pension payments while Kano is yet to pay newly employed teachers for three months. The report was silent on the status of Yobe and Ebonyi on the ground that “there was no information on them.” http://www.ekekeee.com/this-is-the-definitive-list-of-nigerian-states-which-owe-workers-6-months-or-more-in-salaries-look/ 6 Likes 10 Shares

.In as much as i am not happy with Aregbe with regard to this non payment of salary issue,i think the attempt by some mischievous elements to make it seem as if he is the only one owing workers salary is very bad.I wonder why the media and the PDP have not beam their searchlights on kogi state, which I know is owing more than osun.I am aware also, that in Benue state the primary school teachers were on strike for almost a year. 85 Likes 8 Shares |

AregbeRascal is brought out because he blames his incomptence on the federal government, cries over oyel money though osun defenders told us the states IGR is larger than that of the southeast put together, engages in useless project like world tallest talking drum with no gaint to play it,chinko opon imo, wasting billions to feed children as if they don't have parents, buying helicopter for gallivanting about, spending millions to repaint GEJ trains touring abuja while his peopke starves though osun defenders praised the rascal for poverty allievation, indebted the state so much that it could no longer borrow from banks, building a phantom airport. The state of osun is oweing Anambra state. They better start paying up 129 Likes 15 Shares |

Because we don't hear of people dying of hunger from these other states and apparently the state economy of osun is tied to civil servants' earnings which thus makes the ripple effect much more worse than the other states listed. Besides Aregberascal made so much noise and commotion beating his flat dry chest with his reptilian online lizards echoing his useless achievements everywhere. 67 Likes 6 Shares |

NgeneUkwuenu abi is it ukwu Nama, get your facts right. Imo state civil servants to the best of my knowledge are owed just a month salary. My elder bro is a civil servant there. Pensioners were last paid in february. Ma mum falls into that category. As for osun state, the citizens there are lazy and cant fend for themselves without govt salary. Thatz the difference between them and others. How many abia civil servants have u seen on the streetz protesting that they are dying of hunger? Peepz don port go dey do oda tinz for now. Since Osun peepz are hungry and are almost dying,we will continue screaming till succour comes there way 61 Likes 7 Shares |

"Why single out Osun?" What a dumb question. But we shall tackle it. Osun state is being attacked relentlessly because APC lapdogs and their fellow internet hooligans were sttupid enough to REPEATEDLY state in the media that the Osun economic and educational tactic was their grand LEADERSHIP MODEL. One particular shill boldly stated this during their debate at RubbinMinds with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. True or false? Your statement about Enugu and the other states, is a deliberately misleading half-truth aimed at taking the shame away from yoyr "model state". This list you posted was initially tweeted by the desperate chronic idiiot Japhet Omojuwa. While the states you listed up there are owing PARTS of their civil service bodies, Osun state is the ONLY state owing ALL OF ITS CIVIL SERVANTS for 7 WHOLE MONTHS! From the teachers to the doctors, to the civil defence, to the nurses, to the city development authority, to the road sweepers, to the security guards!!! EVERYBODY! Your statement about Enugu's case is equally misleading. Enugu owes a fraction of its parastatals. Why is Osun state the only one pleading with Dangote to help donate food to its civil servants? Why is Osun the only state where even CAN is donating food stuff to its civil servants like refugees? If Enugu was really owing its workers that long, shouldn't all of its workers be dead by now or also making the same call as Osun? You and Omojuwa should go hide your heads in shame, because trying to drag others to your level when you have failed miserably, is the HEIGHT of CLUELESSNESS! 142 Likes 19 Shares |

NgeneUkwenu: Aregbesola is a prodigal son. Don't hide this post again. - You wasted Osun State resources changing the name from Osun State to "State of Osun" what is the economic benefit of that project? - You started a project you cannot finish. Building of an airport in Osun when the nearest Airport at Ibadan is only 45 Minutes drive to Osogbo the state capital. - You begin the free-feeding of school children, now you cannot continue with it. - The road you started from Osogbo linking all neighboring states are all abandoned already. - You were busy constructing the tallest drum in the world, what is the economic benefit now ? - You were busy sharing the state fund during the last Presidential election, now you are on RED! - All your O'Yes projects are now moribund. It is high time Aregbesola resigned as the governor of Osun State. Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has said his administration does not wait for the payment of federal allocation before it pays its workforce. Aregbola, who was speaking at a dinner he had with bankers and financiers as part of the activities marking his first year anniversary, reiterated that any state in the country that is waiting for the federal allocation to pay its workforce is doomed. The governor, also suggested that all the states in the federation, should try as much as possible to look for another ways of running its government rather than rely solely on federal allocation. He further stated that the state has paid the November salary of its workforce without the payment of the October federal allocation by the Federal Government to any state in the federation, adding that all the states of the federation rejected the October allocation because of illegal deductions made by President Goodluck Jonathan through the creation of Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF). http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/aregbesola-i-don-t-need-federal-allocation-to-pay-workers/103799/ 46 Likes 9 Shares

basilo101: Abia State pensioners storm govt house over 9 years unpaid pension Over 200 aggrieved Abia State pensioners mostly elderly people stormed the Abia State Government House Umuahia with public system crying and pleading with the state government to pay them their entitlements and gratuities of over nine years. The pensioners who barricaded the gate of the Government House Umuahia, as early as 10 am, Wednesday, said all efforts made over the years to collect their entitlements from government have yielded no positive result leaving them with no option than to stage a peaceful protest. Most of the pensioners who can barely talk or walk said most of them have died as the result of government insensitivity to their plight adding that they are not even asking for money to eat but to pay for their medical bills as they often fell sick due to their ages. Speaking on behalf of the protesting pensioners, the Abia State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Comrade Chukwu Ndubuisi Udensi said that pensioners mostly primary and post primary school retired teachers are owed heavily in Abia State for the past 12 years. He said the reason they came to the Government House, Umuahia was to see the Governor, Chief Theodore Orji but was told that he was away on campaign duties. “One Nkwachukwu Agomuoh a Perm Sec in Government House came out to address us pleading with us that the government is not owing pension because it like owing, but because of short fall in monthly revenue allocation from Federal account. “That excuse means nothing to us, because that is what they keep telling us that there is no money but there is money to commit to other financial matters that concern them. I don’t know whether they want us all to die out of starvation as majority of us have died and many still dying for lack of care,” he said. He said that they held no further discussion with Mr. Agomuoh who promised to come to their office in one hour time because they are not taking his promise into account as it is obvious that nothing positive will come from it. “When he comes I will ask him if he has the mandate of the governor, this is because we have discussed with the Deputy Governor who said he has no mandate to commit the government. “If the person of the calibre of the deputy governor cannot commit the government, how can a Perm Sec commit them?,” he queried. He further said that if government should realised that pensions and gratuities take first charge in the consolidated revenue fund of the state and the nation as a whole, they will not give flimsy excuses when it comes to paying them. He accused the government of not paying serious attention to financial instructions, saying that if all monies accruing to the consolidated revenue fund go into paying pensions as stipulated by the constitution and if withdrawals from that revenue funds order is obeyed strictly, nothing at all except those financial commitment that are tied with the consolidated revenue will take first charge. According to him, they have given the state government seven days ultimatum of which if nothing happens, they will continue to embarrass the state government. Speaking in the same vein, the State Treasurer of the Union, Dr. A.U. Udugu, all they want is for government to pay them all their entitlements. He accused the government of being selective in their payment of pension saying while some have received their September pension others are yet to receive last year’s January payment, while some have not been paid for over 12 years now. “They choose the people they want to pay and leave others without nothing. Harmonization have been completed since 2002 and up till now nothing. What they do is if you have somebody who can speak for you, then they will pay you,” he said. http://thecityreporters.com/abia-state-pensioners-storm-govt-house-over-10-years-unpaid-pension/ |
