The Southie `pilot fighter` is posting man-portable shoulder carried 10 km range radar, foot walking soldiers have become ISTAR aeroplane in South Africa o !
.

I told you that you don't know what is ISTAR. Those equipments are used in conjunction with ISTAR to make it complete suit. Unlike your ground forces who will have to rely on their radios for target acquisition. You even did not have simple basic radios. I wonder if you managed to procure them.

Hawk jet CANNOT work alone, needs Gripen jet to be airborne, you need multiple aircraft flying at the same time to do simple recce...LOL.

One single NAF Beechcraft ISTAR is = the whole SAAF aircraft fleet grin grin
.

Weird that you would say that

Since your Beechraft is not ISTAR

Unless you mean I-STARE because that is all the crew of a VIP transport can do - stare out the window

Intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance

All things that the Kondor-E can do

Satellites are NOT real time 24-7, they move off the target, it cannot stay on on spot and keep track of a moving target for long.

A satellite is in orbit over one area temporarily, it loses tracking of target once it orbits off that longitude coordinate.

ATR-42 will keep track of a fast moving target no matter where the enemy runs to !

You don`t even know how satellites work....failed Southie science education

Thanks, we also have surveillance satellite which can rubbishes all this so called ISTAR into dust bin.

Nowhere in the definition of ISTAR does it stipulate any of the things you are saying.

Definition of ISTAR: Intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance

Does the Kondor-E have the capabilities to do this: YES

What you dont realize- ISTAR is not some magical unicorn thing, infact, it is nothing special at all. My fvcking eyeball is an ISTAR asset.

ATR-42 Surveyor is for land and sea ISATR, it does NOT belong to our navy, it belongs to our air force.

It is a land based aircraft in our airport or forward air base on land, ATR-42 is NOT a ship borne helicopter you domingo fool grin grin

ATR-42 is Maritime Patrol Aircraft

Lynx belongs to our airforce not our navy

It lives in a hanger at the airbase in cape town, it (being a helicopter and not a ship) can also operate on the land.

You are the domingo fool - you think that the Lynx can only operate at sea?

Satellite is ZERO use in target acquisition once the target speeds off that longitude.

Next, if your satellite orbits off an area, it needs 24 hours to come back to the battlefield....your army is blind like a bat for 24 hours grin grin

During that time, NAF is busy wasting away the lives of SANDF men and equipment for 24 hours, before your satellite returns to view battlefield, the whole SANDF is dead tongue tongue

Kondor-E is just one system we have in the stable.

Gripen, Lynx, equipment from Cytoon and Vulture drones fit into the rest.

your ATR-42 cannot operate in a contested airspace.

Regardless:
Kondor-E fits the definition of ISTAR and that is all that is important.

This is a most unnecessary argument that Andrewza and I have thrashed for many days on this forum last year, NAF has Beechcraft ISTAR, I won`t entertain this argument again next time.
