Gripen pilots with short range missiles and lack of qualifying flight hours. Those SAAF pilots hardly every fly or train.

SAAF Gripen jet is used as a mere deterrent NOT threat.

It is now mandatory for all SANDF communications equipment to be Link ZA-compliant.

The Gripen has one of the most advanced data links in the world.

Show us evidence that LinkZA is live and Operational?

This was the question, dummy!

This is also why i call into question the sort of education you South-Africans receive.

1. How many SAAF aircraft protected special counters measures were shot down in Angola?

2. 3rd Generation vs 5the generation missile.

4. Range of 22km.

1. SAAF ran away from MiG-23 jets and teenage Cuban pilots in Angola, your air force chickened out grin grin

2. PL-9C is anti-ECM, and missiles don't fight missiles, they fight aircraft. The PL-9C is a missile that was developed in the era of Gripen jet.

3. A-darter range is worse....19 km maximum. PLC-9 range is 22 km to 35 km near BVR

NAF will kill SAAF

A paper plan is NOT = Execution/Completion.

Words of recommendation on paper don't become equipment unless you produce the stuff itself and pay for it, then install it.

Show us SANDF data-link in action/operation, show us proof, like we showed you Nigerian data-link performing wonders, show us proof you have functioning data-link and that all your equipment have it....proof wanted.....post citation proof of operation !

You are delusional! The T-90A2 and T-72B3 are more than a match.

The SU-30MKI is the best fighter jet in it's class. Why should the Indians settle for less, when they can get the best?

Evidence of cheetahs shooting down SU-30MKIs.

No match!

Why are getting the Rafale if its the best. Why don't they just get more Sukhois.

grin grin grin Regarding that I was just kidding, but the Russians once brought the SU-35 and others jets to SA.

After the coming to power of the democratic government. Maybe the thinking was that since the ANC was in power the defence might start looking to Russia.

They held exercises and with long range missiles the Cheetahs were able to hold their own.

We keep asking you for citation to prove this, yet you fail to do so.

The CNIS was implemented after the 98 defence review every equipment bought after will have to be compatible with that TDL.

This includes Submarines, fighters and more.

The implementation andrew was talking about regarding installation on the C-130s, Oryx and others.

In 1987 the 10 task force or 20 SA brigade before formation of the task force was doing well

People keep saying SA was defeated in Angola but don't really understand where the fighting was and mix it up with other developments in that country.

Jamba was captured around 1998.

Both were now during chemical agents on a limited scale.

so how will your gripen locate an enemy target 400km away since SANDF lacks the capability?

is it sangoma witches that will relay it to them through data link?
