I doubt if students mark. You may however go there to submit an application as a checker. That pays too.

As checker applicant, make sure you go with photocopies of your SSCE and/or ID.

Do you know how much they pay English markers per paper? How many papers can I hope to get?

English should be #12 per paper. For the quantity it depends on your pack but it can't be less than 200 papers.
There are other allowances to it sha.

Last year, Baptist girls' high school, gbodofan area, Osogbo was used for science related subjects (phy, chm, mth, agric, etc..), Osogbo gramms was used 2yrs ago..
I always attend coordination for chemistry2 (practical)

they get your details upon giving you a pack. Then with time and consistency, you can qualify as a regular examiner. Anyway, when you go, collect an examiner's form from them and fill it.

The first time I marked WAEC I regretted it; the work is damn too tedious and the pay is not commensurate!
My neck nearly fell off my shoulders!
But I did a thorough job marking Physics Practicals(that was May/June, 2008) and was highly recommended by the head of the marking team!
