I'm a guy of 29 but have'nt had sex ever in my life.When growing up i was told by some prophets not to have sex with any lady until i'm married.That if i have sex before getting married,my future will be ruined.Brethern,what do you people think about this,is it possible?Konji is killing me and i have begun have the feelings to have sex.Just 3yrs after nysc,i'm yet to get a job after working very hard to get one.Is God testing my patience or what because all the promises he made in my life,i'm yet to see them.Peeps,is it right to get atleast one lady to satisfy my urge? |

You shouldn't make a decision not to have sex till you marry just because some prophet told you having sex before marriage will ruin your life. You should make such a decision because you thought about it yourself and decided to abstain from sex. You should look at things from your own perspective and weigh the options you have. You should follow your own principle and not someone else's. Our principles are guided by a lot of things including our religious doctrines, moral codes, ethics and our general perception of life. If having sex before marriage goes against your very own principles, then don't, but if it doesn't, you are free to indulge. |

If you get a word from someone else, you can’t really know if it’s what God is saying to you or not, unless He’s already spoken to you about it and they are confirming it to you. We can rely on someone else giving us input that is supposedly from God, but what if it’s not from Him? A prophetic word should always CONFIRM what we already feel in our hearts God is saying to us or has shown us in His Word. If someone gives you a prophetic word that’s entirely new to you, you have to (or you better) go back to God for His confirmation. NEVER structure your life on a word someone gives you that God wasn’t already working in your heart (and sometimes your circumstances) unless you really 1) get it confirmed by Him and 2) in His word, and 3) you have the peace of God in your heart about it. That would be a three-fold confirmation.
