- The Colombian isn't coming at £50m or any fee within that region.

- He isn't gonna spearhead the attack for us, he's only going to be Costa's understudy.

- There won't be a lot of pressure for him to perform. He knows he has lost form and would only be eager to stake a claim that he's still got it in him.

- Falcao's transfer isn't a winter transfer. He'd get the chance to be with the team from pre-season.

The peculiarities surrounding his transfer doesn't in anyway relate with Torres'. If anyone thinks otherwise, feel free to counter my points.

My take on this move is as simple as, get the financial and contract negotiations right and I'll welcome Falcao at the bridge.

DD of last season wasn't better than the present Falcao wey I dey see. So why the fuss?

You go vex when you see Falcao earning £260k+ meaning he must justify his salary.

Matches where Remy would win the game for us, Falcao will be preferred because of the financial commitment - causing us to drop points.

You go certainly vex.


Whether he plays as well as DD or not is a moot point. DD is a collossus of a man brought in to ginger team spirit and motivate his teammates which he did. Falcao will have the opposite effect - demoralising his teammates cos he keeps dragging them down on the pitch, yet earning minutes he doesn't deserve.

Don't forget the negative media and furore that will come with Falcao also.

As the Daily Mail said, Jose should not attempt to catch a falling knife.

A good news though but it only gulped £360m for Arsenal to build the Emirate Stadium while it will take us £500m to renovate Stamford Bridge.

Truth is every transfer is a risk. No matter how good your scouts are, how the media speculates and how shrewd a manager thinks of his judgement, a player who's bound to flop would surely flop and who's bound to perform would perform.

The claim that Falcao is going to be another Nando remains a conjecture until he starts misfiring.

I know on the flip side, Jose is trying to help his friend Mendes, but then, we have a manager who believes that Falcao can come good at SW6. He's spoken much about the Colombian.

So let's give this deal a chance. We can only vex if the cash involved is staggering.

This isn't really a case of Mou 'helping' out Jorge Mendes. I suspect that Mou is actually under orders from the 'Super Agent' as he's called.
