You reap what you sow. This referee is the Falcons punishment. In the previous game, a defender broke an opponent's jaw. Nobody wants that to happen again.

World? I don't get. Meaning she was win it ahead of all the players in this tournament. Abi, does BBC have their own special criteria? This is my first time of watching her after hearing a lot about her and I must say she's the worst player on the pitch.

Sorry Nigerians, we lost it.

I think we need more tactical and technical people in our technical crew. Most of these so-called coaches lack what it takes to lead a team to a great tournament as this, I even doubt if any of these guys attend any training or course to this effect.

I wish the Nigerian government can invest in sport, most especially football, by setting up schools of football/training schools. If we must be great at the International level, there is a need for proper coaching of our talents, I believe this would also help in the discovery of more and better talents that could be groomed into superstars.

Not just by inviting people into the team as a squad, just few weeks or months to a great tournament as this. We need proper teaching, lectures, grooming and training with no exception to our technical crew, in order to be able to catch up with the international standard and rub shoulders with counterparts from other nations.

I wish our girls safe flight back home. embarassed cry

Not unlucky, just in a tough group where they only stood an outside chance of qualifying from. The draw against Sweden gave us a bit of hope, but I think we underestimated the Aussies and we got punished. Beating the US was always unlikely. I'm not disappointed. The draws never favored us.

A team that can be best regarded as a bunch of failure. After the game against Sweden, the girls and coaches were jubilating and celebrating a point, as if they had just won the cup. With the kind of chances we had that day, plus giving Sweden two cheap goals (courtesy of our defenders n gk), we should have left the field like we've just lost a football final match. Then back to the dressing room to re-strategize. But we went into the Australia game with our heads high, like we are going to go in thr and crush them, but we ended up being crushed and now we are back to zero point. I think it's high time we stopped using this local coaches for senior international competitions. These coaches know nothing. (D guy even resemble Mr Ibu sef, very annoying). It's very simple, get the vital 3points in your first game against Sweden, and hope for one more point @least, in your last two games. Imagine Sweden played draw in all their 3 games. If we had beaten them, we would have qualified as one of the best third placed teams. It's a pity we are coming back home. Group of death or not, we are the african champions. We should have gone there to prove a point, but our performance is nothing to write home about. Just like the U-20 WC, these cooaches have failed us again.

We can't blame the girls too. They are still young. This group is the toughest in this tournament. USA has less than a week in this tournament too, because e sure say those German machines will crush them really bad.
