Nigerian Born Festus Ezeli Wins 2015 NBA Trophy For Golden State Warriors! by humilitypays(m): 7:09am On Jun 17, 2015
Nigerian born professional basketballer, Ifeanyi Festus Ezeli-Ndulue (born October 21, 1989) has aided the Golden State Warriors to lift the NBA 2015 trophy during the just-concluded NBA 2015 finals in the state last night.

The Golden State Warriors decision to go very, very small in Game 4 of the NBA Finals changed their fortunes against the Cleveland Cavaliers, allowing the best team of the 2014-15 season to find its form after a slow start to the series. Starting center Andrew Bogut, an All-Defensive Second Team selection, is now out of the rotation entirely. Somehow, the terms of the finals dictate that the Warriors are better for it.

Yet reserve center Festus Ezeli does continue to have a role as a more athletic big man. With 3:03 remaining in the third quarter of Tuesday's Game 6 at Quicken Loans Arena, Ezeli proved his value by following a missed Stephen Curry three with a very tough putback jam, drawing a foul on Timofey Mozgov in the process. Take a look:

Ezeli knocked down the free throw to give the Warriors a 69-55 lead in the midst of a 17-7 run that included eight points for the center. That stretch allowed Golden State to end the third up 12, a tough situation for Cleveland given their opponents' excellence in fourth quarters this series.

Congrats to Fezzyfel and the GS Warriors.

Its not Nigerians that's making his name trend...remember we also have another Nigerian in the team who even clinged the MVP of the match...yet, his name isn't trending.

I doubt many Nigerians know about Fezzyfel (Festus Ezeli)...the guy is a champ...has been on bench, but came in and changed the game.

His bid is gonna go off the roof next season, watch out! I once wrote an analysis about Fezzyfel some years ago while he was still undiscovered and today he's coming out.

Let's all celebrate him pls

Dude biko who are you sef? Iguodala isn't trending and he's the NBA 2015 finals MVP? Issokay
In the NBA, you don't bid for players like you do in football, you make trades. And the 11mins cameo of Ezeli won't hype his value, in the NBA, that simply isn't enough

Did you watch last night's game? Or any game this series at all? For you to say Ezeli changed the game, something is wrong somewhere.

I mean Iggy held down Lebron, Steph was putting up points and you are calling Ezeli the game changer?

Stop being funny biko

lol, ok let's agree then that Andre Iguodala and Festus Ezeli clinged the title for the Warriors...and they ought to be celebrated so that other Nigerian upcoming NBA prospects can be encouraged.

Nigerians don't pay much attention or interest to Basket Ball...we only celebrate football stars, leaving out NBA and NFL stars. Its hightime Nigeria start paying attention to Basket ball cos it worths it.

Ya ya ya...Igy and Andre did put in great effort and talent during that last night's game but Fezzyfel's few-minutes exceptional performance wowed me and many other fans who watched that match last night, and I must admit that he did won my admiration the more.

You can call it partial-interest, maybe you're rightgrin

If Fezzy appears more in the game next season, believe me he's gonna shine and will be heading to global stardom like Kobe. I am so fascinated by his talent and zeal. He got strength too....I pray to have a son in the NBA in future, so help me Godsmiley

Bruh! Please let's be realistic here. You're talking about Kobe a future hall of gamer. Festus will be 26 by next season, he is pretty much playing at his peak right now and he's not even a starter. There's no way on earth he will displace Bogut.
In terms of talent he is not even anywhere near Davis or Pekovic who are just coming up.
He's not a championship level center. At best he's just a rotation option
