I blame d president 4 opting to work wit anyone even d likes of Saraki who has an EFCC case. While civil servants ar being owed several months salary & majority of nigerians live below $1-$2 a day, d NASS budget is higher than dat of 21 states. Is dis d change? 1 Like

This is simply immoral and insane. Where are TUC and NLC when we need them? Will they stand idly by as our created wealth is being plundered by a tiny group of lazy and overfed lawmakers? I've stopped blaming our leaders. Every people deserve their kind of leaders. Our leaders are a sad reflection of us. The Nigerian leaders are so fortunate to have docile and timid masses who will simply throw their hands into the heavens in frustration and prayers instead of protesting and refusing to cooperate with their leaders. They're must be very lucky. Even the corrupt leaders are shocked how we have all allowed them to reign supreme in wealth and sleaze while the average Nigerian lives in lack and penury. What's the APC stance on this issue? Aren't they the change agents? What of the PDP folks in the houses? In looting they're one; in stealing they're all United. It's simple: the war on waste and corruption belongs to US! There's little any one person can do about it! You can't get good governance on a platter. Self - preserving folks do not deserve good governance. Period! 8 Likes 4 Shares |

Though im far from Abuja...I am for #occupyNASS . This is our Fatherland.Only few in priviledged positions are fully enjoying the benefits that could conveniently go round for all citizens. From twitter, facebook, international newsplatform, etc social media Is a sure outlet to knock some senses to these legislooters. I'll sign up when we ready . 3 Likes 1 Share |

Without any reason, some Nigerians just have hatred for success and successful people. If the legislators decide to implement pay cut for themselves they deserved to be praised and not attacked because they have willingly decided to make sacrifice and they don't have to be insulted by anybody. |

500k per year multiplied by 4 still amounts to 2 Million naira. It is still too much. They offered to SERVE so they should do so in the clothes they have now. We don't care how they look, we just want CHANGE. 2 Likes |

What's more appalling about what these thieves of the common mans dreams are earning is that legislators in the west don't earn anything close to what they all earn annually. I wonder what justification they have if other nations with a better GDP, superior economy and higher standard of living pay their legislators lesser. Its more saddening for Nigeria because everyone who sees this become depressed and see making this kind of money as a do-or-die affair. If we are going to take armed robbers, ritualists', car snatchers, pick pockets and all forms of social vices of the street, we must begin by cutting these senators to size, enough is enough! 1 Like |

and then these NASS ppl will look you straight in the eye and say they are working for the betterment of the country. they have no shame, no honor. has any of them fought any war Nigeria is involved in? have any of them made peace where they is conflict in this country? have any of them fed the needy and hungry mouths in the Nigerian populace? have any of them improve our economy? have any of them pass laws that will improve our economy? have any of them pass laws that will put food on the table of the common man? have any of them pass laws that will enable Nigeria to save for rainy days? have any of them pass laws for the civil servants to also have these allowances? HAVE ANY OF THEM PASS LAWS THAT CAN FIX NIGERIA?!!! yet they pay themselves what they dont earn. 1 Like |

This is a fight only we can, the presidency cannot take them on, else they'll plot against him -- the one thing they are very good at! NASS and RMFAC need to to be taught some lesson. 1 Like 1 Share |

All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to remain silent. d President was naive to hav stayed aloof & not care who becomes senate president. Now he has to fight corruption wit a Senate President who is on d EFCC corrupt list. How will dat help his anti-corruption agenda? Meanwhile d budget of d NASS for less than 500 people is higher than that of 21 states of d federation. 1 Like |
