It looks like a helpless scene...either an organised fight or an helpless fight...not all dog fights can be stopped...except you want to loose your hand.

The best way to stop a dog fight is to pour water on them and seperate immediately the feel the reflex from the water.

I added petty cos serious dog fights don't get separated by water. Believe me. I've heard of cases where even gunshots to the air didn't move them.

When I just bought my boerboel, I was walking her on the street. I stopped to talk to a babe nt knowing that a ram was coming towards my dog.

The next thing I knew, my dog put him down with his backs on the floor, her mouth on her neck.

I flogged
Poured water
Even pulled the chain, mhen I was just pulling both of them. She didn't release shii

Until uncle bigram died.

Only one way to stop a dog fight...
You need two people...
Each of you slowly move to the back of each dog...
Grab the hind legs of each dog, lift and and walk back rapidly...
the dog will be trying to bite you and will lose balance with each attempt..
Do not let go of any of the dog until one of them is safely behind a gate,door or tied down....
That's the only way and you need 2 strong hands..

Well if not for the water my dogs would ve killed themselves many times,u don't just pour the water but u splash on them and scream stop just immediately the feel the sensation from the water,its iced water actually,but most times I ve never had to time to go in to bring iced water and I make use of the water available,
Note: u need shout to scare them just immediately the water hits them,that second they leave demselves and u seperate.

If you think ts petty as u put it,well
I have saved my kennel from deaths many times with this method.
Once my rottweiller had pulled my gsds breast with my aid to seperating by pulling dem apart,not until I left dem to get water,afterwards the gsd breast is almost touching the ground when she walks,
U need see the fights I'm talking bout to know if its petty or not.

This is one of the reasons I stopped visiting pets section..
Someone will be telling you something and all of you will be forming ignorant experts..

I grew up with dogs! we bred GSDS, rotts and ekukes, I have been watching my brothers breaking up dog fights before I could talk..

They even intentionally let them get in fights so we can watch before breaking them up...

I know all the tricks water, bedsheets/blankets, sand, the surest way is the wheel barrow technique..
