Gurus in the house, I kind of need your advice and help... I want to apply for a M.Sc program at HS-Worms, of which the deadline to the application happens to be on the 15th July. My problem is this, the may/june WAEC cert I have shows that I was born 9 august 1982(which happens not to be ma real age), I have a G.C.E result printout(which contain my original age), I went to waec office to collect the original, but was told that I can only get it as from 17th july... pls I need help(dont wanna loose this admission). What Should I do? Should I apply with just the print-out(that's the GCE) or with the MAY/JUNE Waec(that's the one with the wrong DOB)

You wont receive any confirmation of submission from the embassy. the slip is enough for you to book an appointment immediately. i want to believe you have done that.. no time

What they are asking for is police report. You can always get it at Alagbon.
When you get to Obalende ask people to direct you to Alagbon in Ikoyi. The place is very close to Obalende. You can get a police report the same day if you are willing to pay for express.

@oye50, hadassaheke, no wahala its one of those things jare..at least i no wound.....I think it should be aptitude because they will grade the, 800 word essay and also the motivation letter and CGPA as their basis for admission, although i have not followed the course much since after applying o..it was The "advanced automation and construction" course I originally wanted to go for only to receive a message later that the school will not offer the course again after I had written their required 5,000 word essay and motivation letter.
Have they uploaded your score on their online portal? They haven't done mine.

Same thing my HOD said. Go to your school's E&R department. They are the ones to do it, not your HOD.

Go to your school's exam and records, they know what to do, for some skools you may have to deposit 5k for it, for others it's free. Cheers

Worms University of Applied Sciences admits international applicants within the 5% quota on international students for our Bachelors and Masters study courses and 50% for IBA Master. This does not apply to European Union citizens or to international applicants with a German university entrance entitlement.

Take into consideration that all courses are subject to admission restrictions (Numerus Clausus), which vary from term to term.

@ PRINCETIGRIS go and swear an affidavit of what u real age is refering to the info on your waec cert. attach it to ur waec cert.

Use your print out....or you can also do the age correction thingy on the other one but I can't remember the details of the process..

Age is not a problem, neither is it one, going for a SECOND DEGREE. Just give good reasons why you want to go for the course and you are good.

You are the one going for the degree. So ask yourself Why are you going for a BSc when you already have one?

Take note of when the next startdeutsch1 exam will take place at Goethe, get necessary materials and brush up and may be attempt that exam, if you pass, A1 is your reward. However, its easier said than done, because you will need a considerable amount of hard work and dedication to scale through.

bos, is he having the problem maybe cos he applied for a course with germn language as d teaching language? or everybody have to attend gothe after securing admission before one can apply for visa even if the cause is taken in English?

Yes, if the letter contains a positive information regarding ur admission u can open a block account. because ur school will waste time b4 sending ur admission soft copy b4 they will even send d hard copy via regular mail. Trust NIPOST and their service here wen it comes to deliver a mail. The earlier d better for u.

Are you saying this from experience? An information from Uni assist concerning your application progress or evidence of application is not enough for the embassy here in Nigeria, don't take those generic information you see on these sites as applicable in our Nigerian situation.
Note, most schools will send you the admission letter through email first before sending by post.

Not that, some few schools are now compulsorily demanding at least an A1 German certificate even for fully English taught courses, failure to do so will result to a rejection. That's just how it is, e.g HU Berlin..they believe you need basic German to get around and I have a feeling more will ask for this in the coming years.
