I listened to senator Ben Murray Bruce speech,I heard
the part he talked about his village not having bridges
and petrol Filling station,I gave a nod when he talked
about poor people sleeping under trees and not under
bridges,though it may seem like a speech,but in
honesty,all Ben Bruce said is totally correct,As a young
man,from the Niger-delta I have lived most of my life in
this region,I have always seen my self as a pure Niger
deltan,not only by tribe(being an isoko) but also by
birth(born in warri),but my impression change when I
had the experience of visiting Ben Bruce local
government area,Brass Lga,I realized that among the
Niger delta there is what I call the real Niger delta,by
this I mean places where you can't go on road,places
where you cant access by the federal highways,places
where you either have to fly in or you sail in,for the rich
they fly in,but for the poor you need to sail in either
spending 2hours on water with a speed boat,or spending
5hours with a local boat,these communities are
surrounded by water,yet there have no water board,no
clean drinking water,yet surrounded by oceans,I wonder
why the senator never mentioned that,maybe he doesn't
see water as an essential resources for a healthy
life,these communities are filled with oil installations,p
roviding crude oil to a large part of the world,which is
used as energy source for most countries,yet they lack
energy like a barren land,the truth be told Ben Bruce
can't say it all,he didn't mention that the type of streets
here are not made of interlocking tiles,but are made of
monkey bridges,he didn't tell us that the beautiful
houses are only those of the Apc and Pdp members,and
also the houses of God...... # I supportbenbruce.....to be
