back to d issue i remembered in 2002 i work as a driver i am Christian from the christ Apostolic church.
we are in 3 day's dry fasting (Biribiri).
start on Fridays & break on sunday.
unfortunately for me Boss & madam needs to attend a function outside town& i am to drive them down with armed escort.
on the way back i couldn't continued with my driving

Boss got annoyed and things didn't go well @ d party.
he took the whell from me very angrily.
drove to lagos it was the wife that save my job dat day.
luckily i continued with the fasting .
But i never put myself through that challenge again.

This should qualify as the dumbest post i have ever read here... why should the employer care about your personal religious obligation? And we wonder why Africa is such a hellhole... try using fasting as an excuse not to perform in an average US company and you'd be on the unemployment line within the hour.

Do you know how many Christians fast for a long period and you don't get to know about it, and they still carry on their business? The major difference between religion and relationship with God is this. Religion seeks to try to attain righteousness through works of the flash. You cannot draw closer to God by mere religious observation or denying yourself food in a particular time or season of year and afterwards go back to your evil ways. I'm a christian and I do fast at least 1ce a week for a whole day and nobody can ever guess that i'm fasting because i work more than everybody and more lifely. In fact, mentioning it to a colleague that i'm fasting is gross not to talk of making that as an excuse.

This is nothing but laziness to me and strongly recommend that you sack her before she ruin your buisness because she'll pull that stunt after fasting.

Its past her closing time, why hasn't she closed from work? If you closed from work between 5:00pm-5:30pm, and it took you about 30minutes to drive to your shop. In other words, what you are complaining happened around 6:00pm and you still expect her to be working vigorously.

Also pregnant women usually speak to their employers early on, so that the employers are aware of the situation.

If one is unwell, its best to stay at home & not to do half work/no work thus putting the strain on your collegues especially if the management is not aware.

In this case, oga thought she was working, when infact she wasnt.
She at the very least should have spoken to her oga about it first and not just assume that oga will be aware of her reduced/non prodictivity for the month.
If she had told him, then he would have been able to make alternative arrangements for the month even if it meant him getting his hands dirty.
