Honestly, I can't say I remember how I came on board, I just decided to join permanently after about 2 years of visiting, and the past 5 years have been fun and educative for me as a Naira lander. I can say I've learnt a whole lot more on here than I've learnt in any classroom. smiley

I have heard of nairaland since my secondary school days but I never for once visited the site till mid last year when I started surfing the net with my gf's phone and I happened to stumble on her account despite the fact that she has been pleading with me to join the year before. I went through her posts and topics and found myself laughing at the posts of the nairalanders. It was then I decided to create an account.

I discovered Nairaland through google. I love Nairaland specifically because of the anonymity of members. Apart from the privacy that the anonymity offers, it also promotes freedom of expression. Ever since I signed up in 2010, I've been trying to control my addiction. grin I gave up when Nairaland became the first thing I check every morning. grin

Can Nairaland be designed in such a way that you can invite new people?
Or is it existing already?

I came across Nairaland Forum through Airtel (then Celtel) on thier Access WAP homepage then I used to enjoy free WAP browsing courtesy Celtel. I found this forum very interesting and I check as a guest but I later registered and started participating most especially in the phones section because I always sought solution to phone issues there.
This topic is dedicated to Me on My birthday.

I entered Nairaland through a contract staff in my office. Then he does not have internet access in his laptop. He normally comes to my table to check his facebook and nairaland. One day, he left the nairaland page open and left. I just decided to check, and I have been addicted since then. Once am not too busy in the office, I will rush to nairaland and you will see me laugh sheepishly. That was way back in 2007 when I got my job newly. I have introduced nairaland to my husband, my sisters, my friends. I always check nairaland first in d morning to know Wenti dey shelle for naija.
