pbs4real: You have being having his for years you said? If you are sexually active, might want to rule out STD related arthritis. If not, rheumatic arthritis is possible. But, if you can afford it, I suggest going to a doc for exam/tests before starting treatment. Need to make sure it is not auto immune disease such as lupus. Arthitis in general could be treated with simple anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen. If those do not work, then go to arthritis specific immune modulating drugs; which can be expensive. Regards. |

Ibrochaka: If you are female; there's menopausal symptoms of hot flash. Could also be: thyroid disorder, inflammation, extreme external heat Consider malaria if you are endemic region. Take your body temperature with thermometer to see exactly what it is. Do oral as opposed to axillary, as it is more accurate. Also, consider: keep cool if you can with cool water, ice, fan and the like. Consider general health check up by a doc. Regards. |

Hello doc in d house! My complain will be a little long(pardon me). I'm 28yrs old and i've been having knee pain for some yrs now. It started gradually in one knee and after a while, it goes away. For like 2yrs now, i've not been able to squat because of pains in d knees, if I sit for long with my legs bent slightly backward, when I get up, i'll not be able to walk normally because of pains. I feel pains deep in my pelvic bone and lower back when I bend halfway to do some chores. I've also been having recurrent staph aureus infection for a very long time. Could there be a link between dis infection and these pains? I apologise for d sermon . Thanks a lot and hope to get a reply soon. God bless |

migbe: I don't see problems there. Still be cautious |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 5:18pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
multiplymi: I can categorically tell ya it is not staph infection. Now, you can have staph infection that involves the bones, but you would be a lot sicker--feeling feverish and really ill. First, if you are sexually active, rule out gonorrhea arthritis. There's also juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. There is also other auto immune causes, infectious arthritis. If injury/accident, then perhaps that's the cause. In short, I need full detailed history and exam to properly tell. You need to see a doctor for that. In the mean time, can try pain reliever and stretching exercises and practice good posture. Good luck. |

Nad95: I tried to answer your post and I got auto-banned for some reason. So, try I will say this: go to your pharmacy or chemist store and ask them for nigerian equivalent of allergy medicines (anti-histamine or decongestants). They should be able to recommend one or two for your. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 8:51pm On Jun 18, 2015 |
multiplymi: Untreated PID can cause pelvic pain, yes! This could go on to be chronic in nature. I recommend: STD screen for Gonorrhea/Chlamydia, Trichomonas at least. Get a pelvic exam and consider empiric treatment for antibiotics (that is treat w/o specific test results). Good luck |

Kudibaby: OK. Those are all starch/carbohydrate foods. Possibly food allergies? Try eliminating those foods and see if those body aches will resolve or diminish. Good luck |

pls docs what's the treatment for chicken pox |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 4:37pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
Ynkacares: I would stay away from artifical supplements. Try eating more proten enriched food or food high in protein. Just eat more than you expend period. But, for supplements, whey and casein protein is normally what body builders use. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 4:38pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
eyescue: I don't know what you mean by sensational movement. One needs more to go on....... |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 4:40pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
nwabuwa: None. Just supportive management for the symptoms/signs. Example, if itching, try hydrocortisone steroid topical cream. Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. Chicken pox resolves with time on its own, no such "treatment" exits, except for immunization for prevention. But, you are naturally immunized now. 1 Like |
