In a Garnishee Order Absolute, the court had ordered GTB to pay Innoson N2,048,737,443.67 from Customs account. Rather than comply with the Garnishee Order Absolute of the court, GTB on February 6, 2015 appealed the judgment, but the Court of Appeal in Appeal no. CA/1/258/2011 affirmed the judgment of the Federal High Court and ordered GTB to pay the judgment debt of N2,048,737,443.67 to Innoson.

GTB, instead, appealed to the Supreme Court against the Court of Appeal’s decision.
In another suit, Innoson sued GTB for imposing excess and unlawful charges on the company’s account with the bank amounting to N559 million. The trial court gave a N4.7 billion judgment in favour of Innoson.

GTB subsequently appealed the judgment of the Awka High Court, but the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division, upheld the judgment and ordered GTB to pay the judgment debt, which stood at over N5.7 billion, into an interest-yielding account in the name of the Chief Regi-strar of the Court of Appeal. However, GTB has appealed to the Supreme Court.

Frustrating the growth of an enviable entrepreneur while claiming they provide services to encourage budding entrepreneurs. "Conspiracy", this is all I see. I pray Innoson wins at the supreme court so we'd see where they will run to. Maybe to ICC or...

Am confident it will go innoson ' s way at the supreme court. Same thing Nfvsb came to mess up my firm 2014, hopefully justice will be served very soon. What a useless country we live in

It is a well known fact that the top guns in the Customs are mostly Nothing-ers and South West-ners (Hausa and Yoruba).

It is in a bid to frustrate the Igbos. They did it to Ibeto Cement by bringing in Dangote into the scene but unfortunately, they don't have the expertise to produce vehicles so they decide to seize and auction Innosons wares in a bid to frustrate him.

GTB must pay the fine slammed on them by the Courts.

Useless Bank
Useless Customs
Useless Abokiiis
Useless Tiger-Claw faced monkeys!

Long live Innoson!
Long live Anambra!!
Long live Ndigbo!!!

Oya... "Suffistikated" Haterz, start ranting!

You guys should stop this bigoty already.
Its sickening

Thats how they killed HITV.

Later they will be complaining that we don't put investment in this zoo called nigeria

This is why we need government to formulate policies that will help protect our indigenous companies. I don't see why we cant if China can because it is easy for all these foreign corporations to cope considering their financial standing.

That China policy has given birth to Baidu (China search Engine), Alibaba, Youku etc these companies altogether worth Almost $500 Billion and in terms of job creation they are the leading corporations.

We should stop being sentimental. Nigerian custom seized and auctioned Innoson's goods, the company is just angry with the bank for freezing its account and ask it to pay the sum of #559 million.

The running legal battle between Innoson and GTB started when Innoson challenged the action of Nigerian Customs Service for auctioning its goods

Why hasn't Innoson sued the Nigerian customs for auctioning its good instead of the bank ?

Please we should learn to watch the words we share. Like it or not, there is only one country called Nigeria, if you choose to destroy it by creating ethnic and religious lines, you are on you own. Because I believe that when the right thing is done, the proper will follow, regardless of religion or ethnicity. Long Live Nigeria, WAZOBIA.

You don't have to turn this to ethnic fight. Banks don't discriminate amongst customers. They are interested in making money for you and from you, no matter where you come from ,igbo, hausa, yoruba, even foreigners.
