I don't think any other tribe gets more comments and traffic like the igbos......what does that tell you.....their importance......relevance and value......anybody useless to me I ignore.....but anyone important I respond either through an intelligent response or tirade......the igbos will always be special people...... 5 Likes 1 Share |

Bro, you made a clear point here. Secession is not the solution to the igbo's marginalization but instead would aggravate the situation. The igbos are so integrated in the society with so many investments made across the nation. Who would be willing to sacrifice his investments for the course of Biafra. Let's be realistic. Breaking apart from Nigeria, there's still a long way to go. 2 Likes |

brize:This is where u get it wrong again. Why should u be clarmoring for more states. If we dont have more states like other region, is it the creation of more states that will bring better life. The answer is NO. Some of this present state govts cant even generate revenue for their states and that is why they are owing civil servants. So lets begin to shout and put actions to it, that these govors must be accountable and responsible and not creation of states. Even if Nigeria breaks into 100 places or states what is on ground is what will be obtainable becos of our value deficit. |

This is. Probably one of few sensible igbo men I have met in person or in a press. Others brag and do show of abysmal lack of common sense. Igbo nation cannot survive in their land. They make their fortune in other peoples' land. They claim to develop other peoples' towns and cities if you secede, you will see how the remaining people will treat you and your properties confiscated. Besides, you are bragging about using modern weapons to fight, are so sure the opposition does have access to the same. By the way what is the population of igbo that will fight the horde of Nigerian army plus volunteers from jobless youths that are ready to fight if given #1000 per day? After the war, will you be able to have your protection if you lost the war which you can never win? Gra gra yeye people 2 Likes |

tensazangetsu:Gbam!! All Igbos and igboid tribes would be incorporated into Biafra, even as far south as opobo and as far west as Igboakiri/igbanke..the oyono group of languages eg Mmoño, Ogoni, Ekoi would be given an option of joining the empire of which they can decline if they so wish.. |

Even if Ojukwu happens to be alive today and being asked if he would lead his people for another secessation. He will say NO because of the bad experience he had even from his people. 1 Like |

Igbos, we are our own problem. Do not secede, atleast not now. There are so many things we've not done in our region if we secede. Our case will be worse than sudan. Try as much as possible to better the region first before seceding. If I can get igbo people here that can join me in helping the region, we can discuss later outside this forum. Its important we get things right. |

For all of you and to those who want it by means of violence, do you think its a movie? those that witnessed the civil war would never wish the same again. do you think its a joke? ordinary robbery that i witnessed in oou where 5 banks were robbed was a hellish experience with dynamites blowing up doors and bullets flying everywhere. imagine the bomb blast in ikeja happening coupled with sporadic gunshots in the air. I have been shot by a paintball and sh.t is painful not to talk of a real bullet. do you think war is a good thing? a sensible person would never wish for that. ibo pple are making millions in lagos from their trade, why do you want to spoil that? sick and disgusting people everywhere one Nigeria biko 2 Likes |

Normality: We are South Sudan. In other words....we are a country dependent on one resource. And countries that split peacefully are those where the various regions can stand fully on their two feet....eg Czechoslovakia, the old Soviet Union.UK and Canada that almost split....all their regions can stand on their two feet. African countries do not split well......both South Sudan and Ethopia/Eritrea have troops on their soil to maintain peace. And how many of you Africans can say that you are strong industrial nations? How many of you Africans have heavy industries? If you want peaceful separation.....start by getting your governor to work hard at developing your region so that it can stand on its two feet via industrial development should oil run out. Same for every other Nigerian...then we can talk. If we split now...there will be one big anarchic war for oil...and I cannot guarantee it would end well, like the first one. |

If India with as much as one thousand different nationalities could be living together, i wonder what the heck some persons are talking about seceding from Nigeria. The best is too tackle the corrupt leadership we have now, not looking for secession, that is an ill wind that will blow nobody any good. The OP just gave a resounding point in his thesis. The problem is not one part of the country cheating this or that other part. For every section of this country is been marginalized. The real problem is the thieving occultic ruling elite from all part of the country, who knows nothing ther than to loot and embezzle the wealth of the people at their disposal. Even if you secede, you would still have d same set of thieves and looters forming the ruling elite, and nothing will change. |

dinachi:Do not be deceived no one wants to force you to stay in Nigeria just do not try to do so by force. So mobilize your legislators in every state House of Assemble to pass a resolution calling for a referendum and get your governors to support it then take this to your senators amd members in the House of Representatives. Nigerians would VERY GLADLY grant your wish.Stop declaring Biafra on the internet.Take these necessary steps and you will soon have Biafra,a land flowing with Akpu and Palm wine 2 Likes |

Xpaz:You can't say this. I reside here in Lagos and I know that the mention of the word 'Biafra' sparks fire in overwhelming majority of Igbo people here, including business and land owners. We may not openingly talk about it for obvious reasons, but when the time comes for a referendum then we'll know. You don't expect us to run back East now just because of online chants. Finally be rest assured that we have no plans of drowning in the lagoon. 1 Like |
