Nita2013:

With Medela u av one year warranty. It doesn't matter d shop u bought it from. All u do is call them to inform about d part that is bad and they ll take ur information and send d replacement for free.

The pump wifey got stopped working after about 2weeks back in Naija, so I called Medela about the warranty.

According to a CC rep I spoke with, warranty is deemed nullified if you use a 110v model outside the U.S ( i.e. with a step-down transformer); the CC claimed this info was stated somewhere, either on their website or on one of the manuals with the pump.
(Now, I never bothered to confirm the veracity of this claim though)

Anyways, I was sent a battery pack FOC and it worked, thus indicating it was the adapter that got damaged.

FWIW, it is advisable for anyone to get this battery pack as an accessory- just in case the adapter goes kaput. It takes 8 AA batteries.

Hello all, please I need to find out if anyone has travelled afterwards with the baby presenting only the U.S. Passport to our immigration people here. Did they demand for the Nig passport or did they just let you go. Am asking because my son has only the U.S. Passport although with a valid 2 year Nig visa that expires in 2016 and we would be traveling soon.

Good afternoon wonderful Mothers and Papas.

I will like to advise that you not only collect zero balance from the hospital. Please follow it up with a call to the Billings unit when you get back to Nigeria or before you leave the US.

I went to the hospital twice and collected the zero balance twice before leaving. Only to receive a letter from a debt collector sent to my US apartment a few weeks ago that am owing about $100 purportedly for one blood work which i honestly cannot recollect. I called the hospital and the Lab and they confirmed the blood work was carried out because am Rhesus Negative.

I have made the payment and given a payment confirmation.

Please just call to confirm and not rely on the zero balance only.

thanks.

He can use the USA passport with Nigeria visa. My Daughter travelled in December with her USA Passport and Nigeria visa valid till 2016. Although she has Nigeria passport but we did not use it throughout the journey.

Hello good morning all... I have a serious issue at hand and I need help. Before I travelled,we agreed (me and hubby) that we should apply for visa for the Kidz when I'm back since this wasn't holiday trip.Now few weeks to hubby's interview, he wants the kids to come as well.
Now the question is, 1) is it possible to apply for the kids and get the same date and time for them?
2)Do I need to cancel his own application and start a fresh application with the children included?
3) will they be granted visa base on the fact that they are coming to be with me during childbirth?

I think you have to cancel his appointment and rebook for all of them but you have to be sure the dates available is still ok for you. I dont know about your number (3) you can just try your luck

You'll be fine with the naija visa. Just make sure you take your receipts with you cos they'll ask for them at the POE.

Overcorrect dey worry you!!

Its posts like this that drives home the point that this thread is home to almost 75% of "GUESTS" on this forum & why bandwagon sets in as soon as ANYTHING is mentioned.

Little wonder MHIS is overwhelmed & even turning back "customers"...

@EVERYONE,

& I mean everyone, its days to porting & I've dotted my Is & crossed my Ts save for baby's PP consent form for unavailable parents.

I've gotten useful info from helpful members of this wonderful thread but unlike Lagos the high court (back of fed secretariat) I know in Abuja does not encourage charge & bail loiterers & the lawyers I know with chambers, I don't want to approach...

@Abuja folks,

How did you navigate this slippery slope? cos I'm one tiny step away from going to UTC Area 10 to get myself a seal & manufacture stamp as well.. grin

Hi everyone,
I just got back from my financial appointment at Mihs. I paid my bills and was given a doctor's appointment for two weeks time. I tried bringing it forward but was told the only option was to use any of their smaller clinics for my prenatal classes so I guess I have to wait for two whole weeks.

Speak slowly and gently. Then also ask the person to speak gently and slowly. Lastly u can go through the email route but it might take long to get reply.

Just manage my sis,its not the ideal situation you'd want or expect but what other options are there,after doing the great trek from naija? All is well. Take care.

Go with option 2. You will be going for childbirth and vacation. Any plan for Nanny when you are labour with Hubby's support?

Hi. I've got I touch with his grace lodge already, spoke with their rep. As for ticket I'm not sure about that because I'm already in the U.S. But since you are coming around September I suggest you wait till then because it is peak season now coz its summer and tickets are really high. By end of sept/oct the prices drop.
