Somalian Air force cadets in Turkey.

Somalians turned Nigerian Air force cadets in Turkey.

Turkey is helping rebuild Somalia. A well known fact.

[size=16pt] ~ 200 foreign cadets from 14 countries training in Turkey's military academies

List includes Gambia and Ethiopia as at 2013

The photo of large numbers of cadets you Southie E-fool posted is actually a mix of Ethiopian and Somali cadets combined

There are Nigerian cadets in Turkey as at today :

"To enable her cadets obtain valuable sea time experience, Nigeria has entered into a pact with Turkey."

You have 26 fighters, even your concocted figure represents a massive shortfall.

Anyway, the SAAF has 9 qualified Gripen pilots, until substantiated evidence is provided to the contrary.

Enjoy your $68 million JF-17.
Really massive shortfall? Need I remind you that NAF has less than half of that number of mig 21s.

And only 3 pilots to fly them!

And the Gripen beats the JF handsdown in basically every aspect.

We don't fly MIGs.

The Gripen is an over-priced JF-17. This has been well proven.

Henry120:

If you actually understood English, you wouldn't really be asking me this question.

-Radar difference is 10km in favour of the Gripen, just slightly better than the JF-17 block 1.

- JF-17 block 1 has a range of 1350 KM, much much better than the Gripen

- speed Mach 1.8 to Mach 2 in favour of the Gripen C/D

- the JF-17 has a better radar down look detection.

- the JF-17 can carry nuclear missiles, the Gripen cannot.

- the JF-17 has 7 harpoints to the 8 on the Gripen

- the JF-17 is way more manoeuvrable than the Gripen

- the Gripen has a slightly better thrust than the JF-17.

- the G limit is 8 to 8.5 in favour of the Gripen.

If these specifications do not represent an Aircraft that is just as good as the Gripen, and provide the bang-for-the-buck, then your mental limitations not mine.

Aircrafts cost

Gripen: $68 million a unit

JF-17 : $25- 30 million a unit.

Gripen is faster
Has better wing loading
Way better RCS
More hard points
Way more manoeuvrable
Much better software
Better HMD
Lower stall speed
Lower maintenance costs
Better radar
Better G force endurance.

And BTW carrying a nuclear warhead is not much different than carry an ordinary warhead.

Must I say more?

Yes, say more about the aspects where JF-17 beats Gripen which you are afraid to quote . Start with combat range.....then show us videos to compare maneuverability....

Range? Weapons mix/options? Ground radar look down? Runway take off distance? Maneuverability? Altitude.....with JF-17 shooting down the Gripen from higher heights above the Gripen pilot's head? Thinking like a salon barber as usual....not surprising

JF-17 has higher combat altitude, will be shooting down the lower Gripen from top of the pilot's head.

Lower altitude is a bad bad disadvantage in air to air dog fight. The JF-17 flies much higher than Gripen

Better climb rate, better manoeuvrability, shorter landing distance, better rcs, higher payload ect ect And you have 0 proof that the jf has better ground search radar.

Is the single digit difference between the Gripen Block 2 and the JF-17 block 1 enough to cost $38 million?

The JF-17 is more manoeuvrable than the Gripen, this isn't even in question. Gripen only has a hard-point more. There is proof to show the JF-17 ground detection radar is better, not forgetting it also has a higher combat radius and altitude.

shorter landing distance.

The Gripen landing distance is with aid of a landing restraint drag chute, every jet gets shorter landing run with drag chutes, the JF-17 will do better if it deploys it's own landing drag cute

Nope Gripen is more manoeuvrable thanks to its much much lower wing loading and canards.

And no, you have 0 proof that the Junk Fighter has better ground search rather.

The only single digit difference between the 2 is the max g foce the aircraft can endure, and believe me, that 0.5 Gs makes a huge difference when you have a fighter that weighs more than 14 tons fully loaded, thus it means the airframe of the gripen can endure 6 ton worth of g force more than the jf-17 when they are both loaded at the same weight of 12 tons.

That can both handle Gs at high levels, and modern pilots can comfortably withstand a G-Force of 9.

What this means is, the Gripen's ability to handle a. G force of 8.5 is absolutely nothing to brag about.

The JF-17 incorporates DSI as a basic design feature, hence it's amazing manoeuvrability. Again, the JF-17 video I posted supports the fact the JF-17 is way more manoeuvrable than the Gripen.

Evidence has been provided, and it shows the JF-17 look down radar is better.

JF-17 block 2 speed is Mach 2, same as the Gripen C/D.

The Gripen C/D's speed is only better than the JF-17 block 1, at Mach 2 - 1.8.

JF-17 has a better range and combat altitude than the Gripen.

Need I remind you that the F-35 also runs on a C++ code, 1 hard point better than the JF-17, still not enough reason to cost between 38 million - 43 million more.

[size=20pt]You failed to provide name I.D. for the two cadet pilots posing with the ATAK gunships.

I provided a source to prove you wrong, your large group photo is a mix of both Ethiopian and Somali cadets, NOT only Somalis as you fraudulently claim every black cadet in Turkey is Somali....do you have their list of names and national I.D.s ? Fraudster !

I said I see likely West African cadet among those in the ATAK helicopter photo, and yes I gave a source to prove there are Gambian cadets in Turkey, Gambia is West African.

I gave a clear source that Nigeria has cadets training in Turkey, clean and clear proof !

Nobody claims to have a source to say NAF pilots are among the Nigerian cadets in Turkey.

However, we proved that contrary to your fraudulent claims, Gambia and Nigeria have cadets in Turkey.

Your "100% Somali cadet team" story is proved false information.

Please apologize to the entire forum and the Turkish guy on Nairaland you were insulting.
