At this point in my life,all I can be is sensitive & cultured when stating my truth but as for not being woman enough to say it.. I say F that sh1t.

God nor dey give one person all the belle baggage, I dont swell for anywhere apart from belle.. Nose, face, legs etc stay the same.. The amount of HCG coursing through my system ensures that I gain not more than 8-10kg or thereabout all through & baby comes Big & !!

I'll try trebor but hope it doesn't do me like other minty sweet stuff, & back up the acid to induce vomit later!!

All in all, no matter how much anti belle makes me feel, once I remember the sheer joy & delight my children are to my life & how much I adore & live for them, I just know its all gonna be worth it.. **this made me eyes misty girl**

Traditionally, the husband's mother but these days anything can go it all depends on the relationship and understanding between all the parties involved. Like me i have a very sweet and understanding mother in law dat wont mind whoever comes between her or my mum.

It works this way, they both come for the "Ikomo" but the woman's mama leaves for the iya oko & can return at a later date...

Its in Ibo culture that the reverse is the case.

oh ok. I never knew this is the way it works. i naively assumed it was my mum's responsibility.

my MIL hasn't made any travel arrangements to come or spoken to me about it and neither has DH said anything. Instead, she went ahead to schedule a wedding for one of her other kids around my EDD. *sighs*

She might be expecting you to call her so that she won't seem too assuming. And who knows maybe that wedding date was most convinient for the bride or groom.

thanks dear i would have called her but then wedding date was fixed over 2months ago. MIL was fully involved in fixing the date - if she didnt veto the date, the coupld would have had no choice but to move it. that i know

Mamas abeg make una help me on dis o,I don turn 'ijewuru' 4 house dis past wks...I eat almost everytime tho not in large quantity,even wen my belle is full I wil stil feel d urge 2 eat something..! Pls is dis normal or is anybody experiencing dis too?

Pls even wit increased proteins n veggie I wil prefer u take fersolate 1tab twice daily n u MUST take it wit vitamin C if not its a waste of d fersolate. Also taking complan milk is a gud way to increase dietary protein n other nutrients

you've been asked to take the vit C for just 2weeks so please stick to that and dont take any more. Vit C is a known abortifacient - especially in high quantities (google it), so i will advice you stay off it. I only took Vitamin C (water soluble tablets) about thrice in my 2nd trimester when I caught a cold (despite having the flu vaccine ) and i was sneezing real bad.

as per drugs, personally, i have stuck to folic acid, vitamin D and pregnacare which i take just once a day. i was asked to add vitamin D as where I am based, we exprience little sunshine. I added iron tablets and calcium tablets to the mix in my second trimester which is also take once a day.

of all the drugs i am taking, the only one not precribed by the doctor is the iron tablets as I have been told my blood levels are good and even when they drop lightly, i have been told to up my consumption of vegetables and red meat. however, as i am not dedicated to the red meat and vegetable diet, i decided to get iron tabs on my own.

regarding complan milk - i know it causes constipation for some people though.

On Vitamin C. I am still trying to figure this out, and would appreciate any help/explanation.

It's of noteworthy that taking too much (mega-doses) of Vitamin C during pregnancy could cause problem for the newborn. Sometimes, it could increase the risk of preterm birth...etc. Therefore, preg. women are cautioned on the intake of V.C #Google.


Now, what happens when we take too much fruits that are good sources of Vitamin C, such as fresh fruits and vegetables especially citrus fruits?

Would it have similar effect?

I n my MIL lives in lagos but hv made arrangement already wit my mum to cum around b4 I put 2 bed cos am more comfortable wit my mum n I can tell her anything I want n she wont mind goin 2 go n get it 4 me b4 time unlike d MIL who wil cum n takia of der grandchild alone.
My conclusion, mak MIL cum takia of her grandchild n my mum cum n taika of her own child too.
