mou like his team to sit back n wait for counter against big team reason players like hazard find difficult to shine most times. hazard n most attacking footballers love to hold n play the ball, when it's not coming due to the midfielders are busy sitting back most times in the game they get frustrated n uninterested in such games n peopl tag them flop in big games.

if this three players sign for cfc n mou change his tactics n mind set( i.e, conceding they hold the ball more than his team therefore, the team should sit back n wait for counter) against big team we will win ucl either this season or next.
hazard and Fabregas are two of the top 4 midfielders in chances created oooo.....y defend for Pastore, lavezzi, and co he attacked well in Madrid, but the only diff BTW his Madrid team and us is Ronaldo.......better keeper, better defence, better striker and an almost equal midfield

And whats this foolishness about offering Ramires new contract? Is there not a Russian team somewhere that would pay us £18m for him?

You can find Chelsea a buyer for him

Ain't foolishness IMO.

As an over all squad player who can play multiple number of positions and not complain about bench time, I think he's worth keeping. Way more valuable than Mikel, who is the victim around here while Rami gets most of the unjust bashing.

What do you call giving a new contract to a 27/28 year old whose game is SOLELY based on running? Foolishness.

Whats the point of saying "he can play multiple positions" when he is shýte in every position? Shýte as a winger, shýte as a midfielder, which position does he remotely play well in?

Ramires has had no impact at Chelsea except in the UCL run in 2011/2012.

3 solid seasons of failure.

Would he be at Barcelona or Madrid after 3 years of failure? No.

Efficiency is about doing things in an optimal way, for example doing it the fastest or in the least expensive way. It could be the wrong thing, but it was done optimally. That's what Ramires defines for me.

We all know he's yet to make a position his, we all know he isn't effective but you can't deny the fact that the guy is effort oriented, goal oriented and time oriented.

He comes in handy when a tactical maneuvering needs to be done. He's got the strength (running) to close down the opponent and to exert damage as well. He's our joker.

You can't always have the perfect player. Ramires as I see it isn't entirely useless hence keeping him makes sense.

Absolute rubbish.

Efficiency is playing a pass instead of trying to run with the ball through central midfield and losing it.

Efficiency is having the sense to know that the ball travels faster than man ie if you need to get the ball to the opponents half, it is quicker to pass it there than run. with it.

Ramires is the very antithesis of Efficiency - a waste of energy with no ends.

He is the only ninja with energy that comes into a midfield, and the midfield becomes easier to penetrate. Why? He uses his energy giving the ball away, not pressing in formation with his fellow midfielders, not playing at a possession tempo, rather rushing everything. I refer you to Chelsea 6 - Everton 3 from last season as an example. I'm sure ninjas thought playing Ramires will tighten up the Cesc-Matic pivot, but it had the opposite effect.

I still believe Ramires on some occasions does things right, that makes him efficient.

There's no denying the fact that he lacks great vision and good first touch on the ball, but just like every other player out there, those are his own weaknesses. His acceleration, hard work ethic, and stamina has been implemented well at some stages in his career, he isn't useless.

If you can have on the bench, a low-profile player who is ready to help, ready to fight for the team, ready to do the job you want him to do. Someone if you need him to play right-back, can play right-back. If you need him to play right-winger, can play right-winger. If you need him to pick up a man and mark him out of the game, he does it, then such player isn't useless.

There were times Geremi did this sort of dirty job for us, there were times when John Oshea did it at Manyoo. We have a different version in Ramires, and I don't think it's right to draw out the dagger because he lacks some skill set.

This dude is already on 34 goals in 221 apps for us, as a central midfielder, he's not having an awful Chelsea career after all cheesy

Come next season, we would still scream 'Phuck Ramires' but there's no denying the fact that he would at some stages do something that would have everyone eulogizing him.

Refreshing:

It looks like Chelsea being granted a work permit for Bertrnad Traore has ruffled a few feathers.

The suggestion being that Chelsea had gotten Traore into the Premier League through a route that the Football Association thought they`d closed off.

You see the FA chief Greg Dyke has decreed that life would be made extremely hard for those non-EU players attempting to carve a career out in the English football.

A policy revealed b Dyke, back in March, implied that potential signings who played for an international side outside of FIFA`s top 50, would have to meet stringent conditions to acquire a work permit.

Traore, born in Burkino Fasa, a country ranked 66th in FIFA`s ratings, despite having played 77% of his country`s international games would also have to comply with five other terms and conditions, namely,

• Transfer value
• Wages
• Quality of league they were leaving
• Continental experience
• International record

The suggestion is that Traore scored no points in three of the above five categories but has been given the work permit he craved after Chelsea`s solicitors won a battle whereby they convinced those who needed convincing that the time Bertrand Traore had spent in Dutch football had enhanced his value.

Giving us a final score of; Chelsea 1 The Authorities 0 cool

When such a dude is worth £15m-£20m on the open market, aged 28 with those physical qualities approaching decline at 30, and already on £70k (I assume to be rewarded with £90k or more), he is no longer Geremi type player. It would be foolishness not to sell.

And you may be too young to remember but Geremi did zilch for Chelsea. We were happy to get rid of him to Newcastle.

If you wanted a squad player to do all those things you've listed above (play right-back, centre midfield etc), then you go for a ninja like Jack Cork who was a free transfer, earning not more than £35k and is also Cobham-grown. And he's a real midfielder unlike Ramires.

Ramires is the only central midfielder I know who will be playing counterattack when the team is still developing the first phase of play. A ninja who will just start running into opposition players camped in their own half for no reason.
