Welcome on board. It is good you are trying to improve yourself which I must give you props for that. You have vast experience in the teaching profession and would suggest schools like Peaklane, Isolog, Donald, Rita International School e.t.c and there is one close to that Ishaga round about. However, I must say you should know that these schools know what others are offering(Salary)because teachers in that region move from school A to B. I am optimistic that with your experience you would get a better pay package.

As regard private tutor, it not different from what you do in class but in this situation, you have to pay close attention to every details and have it at the back of your mind that the grades or scores have to improve otherwise you are not doing your job or better yet your are not qualified, I would say you should assure the parents that there would be improvement but they have also got a role to play.

In addition, since this is Private practice, hmmmm money should not be a motivating factor since you would need your work to speak for you to get other clients. You stated it is thrice a week but did not state the time duration, because private lesson is charged on hourly basis. The charges are dependent on a number of factors such as the exchange rate and.......fill in the gap.

Yes, they are genuine. The man is an agent, you would be asked to pay #500 to open a file but be rest assured you will get a school plus private practice (PP) of you request for it and be ready to either share half of your salary or part with a certain percentage.
NB: The #500 used to be about 3 years ago, dollar is $222 to a Naira. And give us Feedback asap.

30k and above is possible, it depends on your negotiating skill. With your experience, you can also get pp of 30k it depends on the parents you are dealing with.

I got my first teaching job in Lagos through yemlek. I even did my nysc with the school. They are credible but you know they take a certain percentage of your first month salary ONLY. Goodluck.
