Defending your phone from the daily wear and tear often involves wrapping it in a case of sorts, and there are hundreds to choose from for the most popular models. The most expensive element in our $600+ flagships, however, is the screen, and history has proven time and again that when they are dropped face-down, most phones' panels would crack, split, or downright shatter. This goes even for the rugged and shockproof ones, and replacing your phone screen costs pretty penny, especially if they are of the Super AMOLED variety, where Samsung has a monopoly.

One way to protect your displays better, besides being careful not to drop your handset on a hard surface, is carefully placing a screen protector over it. This way part of the impact will be absorbed by the protector, and, especially in the case of tempered glass ones, your default panel could escape unscathed. That's not all screen protectors are good for, though, as they also protect from nicks and scratches, and some also diminish the reflectance, which bodes well for sunlight visibility. That's why we wanted to ask you if you use any type of screen protection for your handset. Tell us in the comments.

@runzlord

Which phone do you use?

I've ordered a screen protector for my Innjoo ONE.

I use screen guard for the front and hope to use the screen protector for the back because it's glass also (they call it dragon trail glass... All na name joor).

Going from your experience, it looks like using screen protector for the front is not worth it.

at all. just maintain your phone well and the screen wont scratch. never put it on a hard surface, put it in your pocket facing your laps, and always clean the screen with a soft net cloth. the cloth must be neat. and be conscious towards your phone screen. it wont scratch.

my moms galaxy grand is over one year, in fact all the body don scratch finish but no single scratch on the screen.
i use "fly nano 8"

Screen crack is almost inevitable with any substantial fall,with or without screen guards.

Here is a more realistic approach,"my idea of screen guard protectors prevent scratches "
TO prevent cracking??juhs don't let the phone fall.

Don't mind those guys. Tempered glass won't prevent your screen from cracking if/when it meets a hard surface upon a drop.
