every introvert cares about what people think about, they just don't care enough to do anything about it or change. An introvert has a very strong individual personality, not easily swayed and strength of character, even while he/she knows he/she is weird, they enjoy it and doesn't necessarily wanna do anything about. They to focus making a statement by not making a statement, non comformity.

But implying an introvert doesn't care what others think about him, you probably underestimate how powerful the sensitivity of an introvert is, more sensitive than an extrovert.

You do know introvert spend like 20 percent of their mind anticipating, and analysising what people areb think especially about them.

I am an introvert Sir. I won't waste precious time debating. Just know this.... Introverts NEVER waste precious moments of their lives pondering about peoples' opinions of them. There are more benefiting, pressing life issues to use the brain for. You can say they are naturally mindful of themselves to have a good image. It's for their own selves, not because they're conscious of you.

They are normal...there is not one thing wrong with them. So, don't think they wait for people's approval of them for them to feel good about themselves. I personally NEVER waste time on such.

out of 10 people, 9 are putting on a face cap, 1 isnt. It is both psychological and linguistically right to say, the one person not putting on the face cap is weird. Weird doesn't refer to a mental case or something, it just means a deviation from what is common. In this case when i said even when he /she knows or thinks he/she is weird, it goes to say he /she knows, his pattern of association or communication is different from the predominant extrovert. Einstein celebrated his weirdness, cause he knew it was ok to be weird, its 100% ok to be weird psychologically speak, it means you know and yhu not follow follow, Einstein was a non conformist, a not so polite term for a non conformist is WEIRD.

You are an introvert, you do not possess the ability to introspect, analysis and anticipate other, hyper critical both on one self and others, pickup subtle signs off individuals. Hmm Goodluck with that.

An introvert sanguine is different from an introvert choleric, an introvert phlegmatic is different from an introvert melancholy.

I kinda just drew up a general analysis, the intensity of the whole is different.

Take for example an introvert sanguine is more out going than an introvert phlegmatic ***quote me anyway ***. An introvert choleric is less sensitive than an introvert melancholy. Infact an introvert melancholy tops the chart on sensitivity, then any member of the group. An introvert sanguine is like saying introvert extrovercial, the effects of being introvercial might not be even felt by a sanguine and choleric, this two temperaments are sortof balances the introvert, its about the focus of this two, tends to be external.

Now an introvert melancholy kinda has a bad rap, its like saying introvert introvercial.

It takes than 3 seconds of approaching an individual to know if his an introvert or not, inverts would like to give a searching and suspicious look, there eyes can be all over you, in less time than you think, that boundary and how far they extend there hand to you is a sure tell sign.
An extroverts eyes is usually on your face, all over it actually, and usually the reverse of an introvert, a close distance is teller sign.

Not at all. I am still largely an introvert! I meant blend (I just edited my writing before I saw your comment).

Everybody has good and bad qualities and attributes. There is nothing wrong with amending and blending where it is necessary, to meet the challenges of the day. The world is an open system, where you must interact with people. We should be able to learn, unlearn and relearn (referencing Alvin Toffler now) at all points.

However, introverts are very useful to society. They are the thinkers. Most inventors are introverts because they have the patience to think and think and question. I am a blended introvert!

Read my last response to wisellet. You would see the clarifications to my initial comment.

Saying "Introverts... wouldn't compromise a tiny bit of their personality..." isn not wholly true. If you study biographies, you would notice a lot born introverts than turned the opposite over time. It is only a parochial person and one who doesn't read that would forever remain the way he is.

I read a lot and understand clearly what supposed "flaws" accompany an introvert. Books shaped my life. And my job too as a sales person/marketer in the most challenging industry left me with no choice than shaping up and blending accordingly. I am still largely introverted, though people see me differently. I am also involved in many social activities. Thanks to reading and acquisition of knowledge.
