NOSDRA - 1,247,000+ per annum (no deductions yet)

NACA - 108, 000+ (monthly take home). they also get OT and DTA for travelling a lot.

NCFR - 50,000+ sad

I wont advise my enemy to pick up a ministry job........renumeration is so poor. The new government must try to harmonize public service salary structures........but for now, if you are on CONRAISS, CONPASS or CONTISS, good for you. If you are on CONPSS, hmmmm is all I can say.

wait o......i heard NITDA pays up to 300+ for entry level, can anyone confirm this?

In spite of the low salaries being mentioned here (some as low as N50,000 for Level 8.), most Federal Government MDA employees I know live very comfortable lifestyles and they seem more well-off than some private sector guys who earn N500,000 a month. I'm sure something is being left out. Maybe the real action takes place outside the formal/declared salaries. Maybe unannounced bonuses, allowances, and other under the table earnings.

bros, come Abuja come see how civil servants for ministries especially dey suffer. Those you see living in affluence are the very few who are opportuned to be in juicy MDAs or those who engage in gross corrupt practices. That percentage is less than 40%. Trust me.

Why most civil servants still prefer their jobs is cos of the security and absence of uncertainity that is common with private jobs. Also, being a civil servant provides some time to dabble into other businesses.

Salaries of civil servants is actually very very very poor. I happen to fall in that category and honestly its nothing compared to what's been paid to agencies and parastatals. There are no benefits whatsoever only d salary. For entry level is just a little above 49k...not up to 50k... Abeg any one knows how one can get posted from ministry to an agency or parastatal? Thanks guys

This disparity in the entire public service salary scale is too much. We all know essential service workers like electricity workers, health workers, teachers etc across the world have higher salaries but what's with the revenue generating bodies? I don't get it! The money is meant for the government to share across the three tiers not for the workers to get juicy packages...there's something terribly wrong with the computation system because we all go to the same market and buy at the same prices. I think the national salaries and wages commission and revenue mobilisation and fiscal allocation commission should use a contemporary and standard formula to calculate wages instead of the unrealistic model they use presently which doesn't conform with today's economy. Civil servants in ministries have turned to beggars o...no allowance of any form whatsoever. if you think you don't need their services, why employ them and punish them with miserable salaries. A graduate earning about $200 dollars a month..its really pathetic! PMB do something o..abeg! Civil servants are dying of hunger and poverty!
