Hello house, my husband has 333points on his EE appication. Please what province can he apply to as most provinces require 400points. And getting employment from there seems hard. |

bolinchin: On your second question. If anybody will borrow you money, let it be now so that your visa office will not be suspicious. At least a 3 month bank statement without any sudden hugh deposit. |

Dear Seniors, My wife and I took IELTS in June. Our results are stated for your advice: My wife - L-6.0, R-4.5, W-6.0, S-7.0; I - L-5.5, R-5.5, W-6.5, S-7.0. Thanks. I intend using my wife as the principal applicant for some reasons, if we are to rewrite the exams, can she take the exams alone or it is a must for both of us or I can still use my own result as a spouse? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by meta4(m): 12:47am On Jun 27, 2015 |
Phemmie72: Yes, you can still use your result as the spouse, but if She is the principal, then she has to re-take the test. This time make sure she use materials to practise well. 2 Likes |

Hello house, i have a quick question that requires an urgent response please. While i submitted my first application, after submitting documents of my work experience, i filled unemployed after 2013. I actually was consulting with a firm but not my field. Is it ok if i attach a letter stating that i didn't include the firm because it was in a different field? The company has been paying me and that is the only way i can prove my source of funding. Was told to take pictures of my former office both inside and outside showing company logo and also print out statement of acct displaying payment from the company. I need your advice guys, my company most times paid us cash. They barely paid into our acct, though they did sometimes. Is it advisable to attach the few bank payments i can get with my payslip, or i should just attach a note stating i have closed the account i used back then. Confused, please help |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 5:49pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
kart042000: You really confused some things here (don't take it as a jeer please). You need to be more elaborate, saying you submitted a first application and documents for your work experience and later filled unemployed sounds somehow. Besides, which payslip are you talking about since you said the company you consult for pays in cash? Did you apply under the old system or the EE System? Anyways, the bank statement you will use has to be for the recent 6months so, the little i can advice is that you use fixed deposit as your major proof of funds(considering you have already indicated that you were unemployed) but really, your post is sort of not starightforward and it makes it hard to know what to really comment |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 5:56pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
Phemmie72: Meta4 answered you well but let me add that, the least score required is to have a band score of 6 in all segments. If you score 9 in a segment and you score 5.5 in another, you won't qualify so, whichever of you will apply as the principal applicant must score at least 6 in all segment but, trust me, you wanna score higher than that. The breakdown of the score that will give you maximum score for Language test(which is where you have the opportunity to shoot up your total crs score) is: Listening - 8.5(i think it corresponds to like 39/40 in the test), Reading - 8.0(i think thats also like 38/40 in the test), Speaking - 7.5 and Writing - 7.5 so, whoever will write it will need to prepare |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 6:16pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
222rayo: It's only Ontario that has said something about 400points(i've not seen any other province who required that), and they will even have to contact you from your EE account to apply, its not what one can apply to directly. I think Saskatchewan may still be open, Nova Scotia also while New Brunswick opens theirs on the 1st day of the month till 15th of the month, they then pick those they want to after 15th(this is according to the information they put out) but from the reviews i've read of those who applied, the one for this month closed that 1st Day, infact those who applied like 30mins after it opened couldn't get through so, if you are interested you will be on your system to apply before 8am their own time. Also note that Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia has a list of occupation they want people for so, you will need to check the list to know if your husband's profession is among. If you as well apply for New Brunswick and they choose to consider you, note that there's an application fee of 150CDN they charge but it will be after you have submitted and they choose to consider you, while Ontario charges 1500CDN(which i think they want to use to scare lots of applications away). Finally, depending on what your hubby's IELTS result is, its possible for him to boost that score if he can rewrite the exam and try to score 8.5 in Listening, 8.0 in Reading and 7.5 in both Speaking and Writing. This has in some cases given extra 80 or possibly 100 crs marks) |

JesusDWay: Lol ok my apologies let me state it more clearly. I filled i worked with company ABC for 2yrs between dec 2009 - dec 2011. I went for msc after wards and returned in 2013. Then i got a consulting job in dec 2013 which is not in relationship with my core area of specialization; so therefore i filled unemployed. Now they are requesting me to send statement of account showing payment from company ABC. While i was with coy ABC they most times paid in cash but i might be able to get some months from my statement for the first 1 year they paid into my account directly. And i have payslips from company ABC. For the funds,i have been receiving payment from the company that does not tally with my career line, and its enough to prove my source of funding. My confusion now is the second company was never stated in my application and for company ABC, i cannot get statement for the 2 years, i might just be able to get 2 or 3 months. ITs FSW 201 4APPLICATION . I hope you understand now jesusDway for my visa |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by zandora: 6:57pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
kart042000: For company ABC you don't have to provide payslips for the whole 2 years, 6 months payslips would do just fine. As for the other company you worked in 2013, I don't know why on earth you initially filled that you were unemployed during that period even if the job didn't tally with your NOC. Anyway that's the past, however you're in sticky situation because if you now show company 2013 as the source of your funds after you've told them you were unemployed it would be classified as misrepresentation. Am I to take it that they also asked you to clarify your source of funds? 1 Like |

zandora: I have been running my account, but i try as much to avoid putting the CO in a box of assumptions. You quite coming from an entire different angle with the misrepresentation . They didnt request i proof the source of funding, just wanted to make it clearer. Though been running the acct monthly with huge sums, but i would have to do another transfer into the account. And i dont want the CO wondering how can an unemployed individual be running such transactions.. What do you think? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by zandora: 11:26pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
kart042000: Yeah, they would obviously want to see where your funds are coming from since they think you're unemployed. What I'm trying to say is that if I were you I wouldn't mention receiving payment from company 2013 because you've already told them you're unemployed and that in it's own is misrepresentation. Are you applying through EE? If you are then you might be able to get away with it as they don't ask for detailed bank statements but 6 months average bank statement. You could then write an explanation letter to explain away the bulk of funds. However I'm confused as to if you applied via EE or FSW2014. Couldn't you just edit your personal history details for 2013 and put that you were employed? |

Humblega:Hiya Oau peeps, You don't have to fastrack, mine took 6 weeks from the day I sent my transcript. It took a month from the day I got a mail they need verification from school. I wouldn't know the medium OAU responds to the verification cos I sent couple of people to help find out in school and ensure its sent but they couldn't place the letter /mail but you will be fine in a month or so. All the best |

Etfash:it is not compulsory for your wife to write I LETS, but the process if bringing your spouse later is a little bit tedious if not in your application now. You need to have a stable job for at least one year, accommodation, evidence that you pay your utility bill etc. I don't know your month of application? I will have advice you do your wedding before MR and include your spouse in your application, but be ready to show updated POF if you include your spouse by this she cab be included in the application and can decide to join you later before visa expire. I hope I answered you correctly. 1 Like |

Bcolah: I take it that you're the principal applicant? If his Master's degree is evaluated to that of a Canadian Master's then you'll get 10 more marks added. As for his IELTS score it'll add 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12 points. Therefore in total you'll get 22 more points added. Please see this link for points calculation. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp 2 Likes |
