Spot on! I am not a student of philosophy myself but my interest in it has taught me that philosophy is the bedrock of the sciences and the arts.

I've had countless arguments with people in different fields but philosophers (certified or as a hobby) are more rational and articulate.

Lawyers, on the contrary, are driven by a sense self-indulgence which bothers on sentimentality as against rationality. The average lawyer resorts to dwelling on professional jargon (mostly in Latin) when he/she starts losing an argument in the hopes of CONFUSING OTHERS and not necessarily to buttress the topical issue being argued.

Law is overrated. A lot of lawyers get stuck in a limbo few years after graduating 'cause the euphoria would have worn off and all that is left is to amass wealth...anyway possible.

I have always believed in this expression of mine: "THE SCIENCES makes life EASIER and BETTER for man while THE ARTS (essentially philosophy) IMPROVES the quality of the man himself by culturing him and making him comprehend the world around him".

Man needs both (the sciences and the arts) in his quest for life's meaning.
