Zimbabwe, what a country! A country once regarded as the ''food basket of Africa.'' Today, it is a shame to point to Zimbabwe on the map of Africa. How ludicrous can it get! A loaf of bread in Zimbabwe of today costs 7 Billion Zimbabwean dollars (70 US Cents). A crate of 30 eggs costs 45 Billion dollars ($4.50 US). A tin of milk costs costs 5 Billion dollars (50 US Cents). Would the ''giant of Africa'' ever tow this line also? AFRICA, we need to WAKE-UP!!! 1 Like |

Somebody please tell Mugabe to stop printing money!!! Inflation is caused by excess money supply in the economy, in other words too mcuh money chasing too few goods. Simple as that. Mugabe should also tell the treasurer to start buying back all the excess currency floating around. |

Zimbabwe - From Food Basket of Africa to Basket Case of Africa I think we should put it this way: Zimbabwe - From food basket of Africa to Money basket of the WORLD. I hope producers of the Guiness Book Of Records are updating their records accordingly. . This is no laughing matter sha. |

Please I need someone to answer this question: What sort of calculators are they using in calculating money in Zimbabwe or have they abandoned calculators and resorted to using microsoft excel for calculations because these figures are baffling. gadogado: Don't be surprised the guy still has supporters who listen to him at rallies during electioneering campaigns some of whom are prepared to lay down their lives for him. TalkSmith: And this has happened with a few years. What a free fall!! The downward spiral movement is like jumping out of an airplane at an altitude of 28,000ft without a parachute. |
