I just did a Google image search on pomegranate and you seem to be right. I will read up on the fruit. Thanks dear.
first and foremost, pomegranates don't grow in the tropics, it can only grow in the temperates, so it cannot be it secondly, pomegrnsates grow together in bunches and not on tree stem like we have in your picture. So bro, that can never be pomegranate.

The fruit is called Akpuru in Igbo, it is edible. it is niether bitter nor sugry. Just test more like garden egg with slight stiky necter.
