Hello mamas in the house l dey hail o, congrats to those that hv given birth and God'sgrace and strength to pushing mamas.finally July is few hours away,indeed it has not been easy but God has been faithful. I was formally team August,but I went to hospital today,and Dr said that they will not allow me to reach August,so that I don't enter labour cos I hv low lying placenta.pls mamas put me in ur prayers o,that God should take total control and perfect all that he has started o. My dearest people una well done o.......@proudmum u do well jare, correct class captain. Thank God for how far we have come. I finally did my first shopping 2day @ 37 weeks and buying baby things makes it all real that i'm going to be a mommy Lord i'm so grateful. If u stay around Ogba or Agege, i strongly recommend Iya Amira's shop @ pen cinema, God bless the mama on this tread that told us abt the place. I bought so many things way lesser than i expected and i got all i need there and all are quality stuffs. Make i stop my long tory for here now |

mitchelle1989: No dear,it isn't for first time mums alone. Some other factors can warrant it during subsequent deliveries. Had cuts during my first delivery,none during the 2nd and tear for the 3rd(he was actually bigger at birth than the previous 2). I've noticed that a lot of first time mums dread it (besides the labour pain of course). Whatever the case,try not to panic. The pain of the tear/cut would hardly be felt during delivery anyway cos d labour pain would sort of overshadow it. It's d stitching(in some case) and d healing period that is d koko. It would eventually heal anyway. The pains we go through are well worth the end result. Some aren't so privileged to conceive, carry to term or even survive to nurture their babies. For tears, I had a small natural one, they gave me some stuff. You can do yours by buying Witch Hazel and cotton pads, rinse with warm water and then apply it to the area. I know they stitched me but I don't know if it was first or 2nd degree tear (they used a catheter that night and I was peeing later on thay night and the next night and pooling after they gave me some tablets to soften my stool. Ask for a prescription for that, it is helpful). Milk is a tricky thing but don't be scared, breastfeeding is hard and most ftm milk come in a bit later and some babies can't suck properly. So whilst giving them formula (even better, let your hubby or someone else give the bottle so your baby doesn't associate you with a bottle and refuse the milk later), start each feeding by putting your baby to the breast and letting him/her suck even if nothing comes out. That stimulates milk production then you can pump for a bit after. I had a rough time breastfeeding and didn't think I had milk but thank God my sis insisted on me doing that (against the nurses wishes) because my milk came in 3 days after birth. babymama011: It is possible to b 2cm dilated and nt fall into labour for a week or more but ur cervical effacement is gud, and if it were left to sum doc, u wil have bn induced so the baby can cum faster, sure ur doc has his/her reasons. Dat bn said, increase ur activity and kpekus too help. All u nid is regular uterine contraction and u r gud to go. Feel so gud it's july already.. Pray God make it easy for us all and oda mamas.
