Women been crying foul since creation.
Truth is women are their own worst enemies.
If only women can treat their fellow women the way men treat them, we'll have a better world.

No one has mentioned a good thing about Beingafemaleinnigeri, it shows hypocrisy. I know some are true but it all about privileged. So since being is women is awful automatically being a man in Nigeria must be great that why girls will flock and want to marry me in with my 1 bedro oom apartment.

Why don't you start.
I'd like to know the benefits of being female in Nigeria.

Truckpusher, I saw your post the other day and I know you understand exactly what women go through. I know you are just having a laugh today.
There are some women that do not go through those things ,they came from good homes and where well taken care of by their parents but because of their sexual orientation and bad choices they made about the kind of men they roll with ,they feel that the only way they can express themselves is by being aggressive to men and unfortunately they hide under the umbrella of feminism and they abound in this forum right inside this thread now.

Most of these ladies often mistaken misandry for feminism and I personally do not spare them.Because they will have a problem thinking they are feminists.

They are not feminist but bunch of deluded fellows who would soon learn through the hard way mark my words.

All these sound like comparison to me,you cant compare the genders...they're different and should compliment each other. Its not only females that have their issues with the society, men have their own. Whats the propaganda for? Do you want maleism to start too?lol grin
angieberry:
If you draw eyebrows, you're a runs girl (a male course mate once told me this)

If you're single and you drive a nice car, you'll chase away the men

If you're a man and you sleep with many girls, you're a boss. But if you're a woman, and you sleep with many men. You're a LovePeddler.

When a man gets a doctorate degree, he is very intelligent. But when its a woman, she's too ambitious.

It's okay for a man to drink publicly. But when it's a woman, she's wild.

*It's Only in Nigeria that's it is a crime for a woman to have a car and not have a husband.

*When you are a Nigerian lady and you are still single at 30years, pastors will start casting out the spirit of anti-marriage from you.

*For a Nigeria woman, after school you must have two certificates.
University certificate and your marriage certificate.

*"Don't you know how to drive, see how you are driving like a woman"

*Every pretty light skinned girl is an ogbange

*Every single girl that dresses fine and has money is a runs girl.

*Every lady that wears skirt is a good girl. Every one that wears trouser is a bad girl.

I take solace in knowing that it is also woman to woman problem.

Everything happens for a reason.

When you take a deep look at the Nigerian society, you will understand that those questions and assumptions are not out of place.

Talk about double standards! Why would a man do something and be commended for it, but when a woman does the same thing, she is run down?

well what other achievement and happiness is more than watching your own Children grow? Am sure a man cant breast feed or carry baby in his stomach. You ladies should accept your roles and roll with it. Your nature make your role easier for you. Accept to be responsible and not brainwashed. grin

Nigerian females are trying to cry foul or what am i seeing...Nigerian women are looked like gods among the rest of African women...If imagine the earlier post of a girl that doesnt want a broke guy to "Toast" her....Nigerian women are complaining you sleeping with men for money and not necessary what do you expect...Nigeria women need to be more independent and they wont complain

Very true
Its women that gossip about light skinned girls been ogbanje
Its the mother inlaws that cause trouble when there is no issue in the marriage
Many girls have told me that they prefer male bosses to female ones because with the females, theres always seems to arise an unspoken competition or rivalry

Face reality, women are their own enemies and they know it.....

Every woman that has posted so far might have posted a few truths but is still bias

Is that all?

That what I am trying to say it all depends on d privilege one has. So u can't just come and say being a female in Nigeria is awful and no good comes from being a female. It is degrading to both my mum and my sisters. If the topic was the suffering of a female den it is a different tin.being a male in Nigeria has also the good and bad stuff but u ladies will only talk about the bad.

99.8% of ya'all that are making all these plenty noises are dependent on men even for tissue paper and I'm not saying that you should be mocked for that or insulted for it, after all the empowerment isn't just there for women to make something out of themselves - Because in a society where the socio-economic problems is huge, women in such societies enjoy free meal more than any other place in the world where the standard of living is higher and opportunities abounds.

I hope you won't see this the wrong way.

Double standards why would a woman do something and be commended while a man is heavily bashed for the same act? Equality does not have to be in females or feminist terms otherwise it'll upset a ballance. Men are being discriminated against too. How many of such does feminists address? Feminists are just cry babies as far as I know.
