Does anyone see the trend...

Despite leading the country for most years since independence the region is still very poor.

It would be interesting to see how this graph changes by 2019. grin

This report is false
Jigawa should take the 1st position
And how can you rate kogi as 26.4% while Kano at 76.4%. I think the reverse should be the case

Why is that guy laughing at Osun?
Some people don't know the difference between a cash strapped government, and a Poor people. ...
Moreover, the Problem with Osun, started when the FG drastically reduced their Federal allocation, to levels not commensurate/Proportional to the state's population.
Again, the data was cumulative between the years 2004-2014... Osun's recent problems with paying Salaries is just a blink, within the time frame of this report.

BTW:
Since i was pretty much sure that everyone was going to be complaining about Why their state is not number 1, or why so so and so state should be in the number 6 Position, while their was ranked in 9th ....
Please take your time to read the Parameters of the Report., which includes several factors like Educational attainment levels, Standards of Living, Etc.... This isn't just a purely monetary mode of measuring Poverty.

Katsina a whooping 82%, lordy lordy, means only 18% can afford 3 meals a day.

By 2019 it could be 100% poverty rate in Katsina (considering his ineptness) Buhari would make sure.

Sai Buhari! yet they are still the poorest. They voted out GEJ because they believed the Kafirs can not rule them. Allah has given them here, yet they are still the poorest in a place their allah has given them, even in whole West Africa. I dont know the reasons why the furthest Igbo man would fall for this Almajiri "Chanji"

Osun's problems are like 5-6-7 months old..... And is likely temporary as well.
This report covers a much longer period.

Being Urban is great, but there is also Urban Poverty.
And also, do you know someone in a village/small town or even country side can have a higher living standard than someone living in the City/Big town?... That is why I am not surprised to see places like Ekiti ranking high.

Kwara should be Excised from the North...
It is an Anomaly among Northern states.... simply because it's population is not "Northern" at all.

Geographically, it is north central because of the artificial delineation of the country into geopolitical zones, for ease of administration.

In terms of ethnicity, Kwara state is 80% yorubaland with Baribas, fulanis and Nupes owning the remaining 20% of kwara.

Does a state have to be 100% Yoruba to be in the South-West?
