Yes you can, but brother, you can be sent back even with your convincing reasons. Its just at the discretion of the officer to decide either to send you back or allow you in. Kentucky, how do you guys cope?

I think the rule still stands but don't forget the visa starts counting the same day u were given.Its really painful seeing someone sent back because of that.It better the person waits sha,but those guys for Abu Dhabi dey vex I swear

Conversely, if you have computer connected to mobile network or WiFi, u can still have the soft copy of ur new ds160 in PDF format sent to them without the stress of scanning the hard copy of ur new ds160.

All u have to do; go to the visa application website,click on ' retrieve application' option, enter ur ds160 code and answer the security questions, it then displays ur new ds160. Then, print it to ur file possibly in PDF or email it to ur email address.
Better still do as u wished; suit urself.

Being PREPARED reduces the risk that you will be sent for secondary inspection" culled from somewhere, no body would send u home for anything, show them your passport with Visa, form i-20, ur flight tickets and be within the 30 days to resumption,

My visa was scheduled for 7.30 in Abuja on June 30, 2015. it was calmer and saner than the Lagos embassy (As I read from the posts here). After the bio-metrics, the Interview process started. the Vo's were fair, they allowed you make your case. for every five applications rejected, two were approved. It finally came to my turn and I was called to window 6, A lady (Probably in her mid-twenties) was the Vo.

Orientation date is different for the start date on the i20.

On the i20, it might say student resume 08/09/2015.
So student can arrive from any Poe from July 9 upward .

Orientation is a welcome program. Some school do it a week before class begins
