This 30days thingy about travelling after Visa is obtained. I just checked the UKCISA site, it seems if one does not travel, u'll have to reapply for another 30-day vignette AND NOT anoda visa application.

U already have your visa ( and I suppose you don't need to supply all those plenty documents again).

Please gurus in the house, spikeC, naijamark et all should assist elucidate on this.

On successful visa application, a vignette is attached to your passport.
This vignette is valid for 30 days. The 30 days could start from your date of intended travel or the date the visa is issued ( if the visa is issued later than your intended date of travel).
If this 30 days runs out without action, you'll have to
re-apply.

And some folks ar saying that they can ask source of funds cos millions of naira can't just appear like dat in my acct.pls wot do u pple hav to say on dis mata?Cos I don't want to take any chances with those BHC pple...

If the money is in your account then you don't need to submit that of your daddy

I have an appointment tomorrow, if it takes 15 working days max.. Then I have between this month and August to leave. I wanted to reschedule but I was told I would pay another IHS fee?. I just didn't plan to leave Nig. 4weeks before my course start date? This new rule is crap!

I agree with you. But I seriously have a feeling we all don't understand the new rule. As for me I would still go for my interview earlier and talk to them. They can't expect me to leave earlier than I planned to. No way!!

Hi people, pls I need to know if they conduct an interview for a dependant visa and if they do, what are the likely questions

You must travel within 30 days after you get your visa..Pweedy.n Petite.. annoying but it is what it is

As for d 30 days ish,its crazy,how would sum1 travel a month b4 her course starts more money would be spent. So wots now d essence of filling d form where they asked 'On which date do u wish to travel.....'

I think we are having a little misconception about this 30 days rule. The 30 days actually starts counting before the course start date as stated on your CAS or if your visa is issued less than 30 days before your course starts it will start counting from when it is issued.

so for instance if your course starts 21st sept, your 30 days starts from 21st august ,if you got your visa before 21st august.
lets say you get your visa 10th sept, then your 30 days starts from 10th sept because its less than 30 days before your course starts.

I hope you are right because previously they used to say you can only travel from a month to your resumption date so why would they change it now.

Please Who has paid for the health Surcharge? I have issues paying, I have used GTB, Diamond, Firstbank and Access and they all didnt work. What card is working?

@Danarebuwa, IF THEY ARE DEMANDING FOR TB CERT FOR YOU TO TRAVEL TO THE USA, then simply go the uk embassy wia u submitted ur passport and ask them to give u a letter stating that ur passport is with them; thus with that letter u can now go and obtain ur TB certificate. takia

I would like to know if the 28 day rule means 28 working days or just normal 28 days including Saturdays and Sundays.

Plus if I start to count the 28 days from 9th July when will it be complete?
