olandex: Undergraduate dont get RA or TA, how could would VO ask you if you write RA or TA.. I think the VO just dont want to give you visa and he might be in a sad mood then.. Some VO can be funny at times with their funny questions but they just wanted to know what you are doing and if you are serious and you intention and if truly you do the admission processing yourself.. Anyway never give up and re fire back but defer till spring and write a test either SAT or Ielts or Toefl but SAT is cheaper compare to toefl and ielts but in SAT you will solve mathematics |

hello house . New to this thread. I have an msc admission from Uni of sunderland but I dont want to go because Uni of Sunderland is a supposed ''low ranked'' university. breezing through posts here, i saw schools like Eastern tennessee uni, FIU etc. I am looking to defer my admission and start to apply for admission for next year to US. So my question is, Does ranking really count in the US, cuz in the UK thread they made it seem a really big deal 2) I have a US visa, and spent just 5 mins with the guy at the counter and was giving.actually for my sisters grad in columbia. Now i want to start msc admission, will i be denied a visa if i apply to a school that doesnt require TOEFL and SAT? Im working from mon-fri, and if i am to prepare, I HAVE TO QUIT MY JOB, because my dept is a very busy one. Please advice. |

Hello. I think you got denied basically because you answered NO when asked Do you know someone in the US. when i applied for a visitors visa,i was asked that question. i answered, the asked me for the city and even the address. america doesnt joke with immigration.i was also asked at JFK the same question. because basically your good to go with your scholarship and the rest. scriptwriter19: |

Mekurexx: You will not be deny for applying to school that don't require standardised test but to be on a saver side its better&good if you write at least one of the standardised test whc will boost ur chance of getting ur visa. |

kaycome: My brother, though your scores are quite low as you have said, you still do not have to go to the consulate without it. It's better than saying a NO if you are asked for it. Except you have intentions of writing another. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by Notonlyamerika: 9:42am On Jul 03, 2015 |
Busconductor: That's normal, f1 visas are valid for 2yrs. Ur 2yr visa is used only for entering the US. While in US, U are covered by ur status (f1 status) which is valid for the whole period of ur course only if you do not breach ur status. U can only renew ur visa outside the US. |
