I understand loving gold, but come on man!! This had to be the worst DIY idea ever…

Nazario Conchuza Gonzalez, who was also known as “Pelotas de oro,” – the English translation being “golden testicles” – was trying to embrace his street persona by gold plating his scrotum when he unfortunately ran into a series of health issues following his procedure that ultimately led to his death. The 17-year-old gang banger was enamored with the 2002 movie comedy Goldmember – an Austin Powers parody of the bond movie Goldfinger in which Powers is hunting a criminal mastermind who colors his victims’ man parts in gold.

The gangster who loved “gooollllddd” started by painting his genitals with a lead-based paint, but quickly decided that a simple coloring wasn’t enough: he needed to take it to the next level, he needed the real gold. To complete the makeshift operation, Gonzalez used a professional automotive gold plater that he stole from a garage. Since gold plating your testicles is a “medical impossibility” even for the best of doctors, the El Salvadorian gangster’s DIY attempt left him with no chance at all.
Evidently this numbskull isn’t the first guy to try it either. Los Angeles Community Hospital Dr. Ian Joseffson told local reporters gold-plated scrotums are a growing trend among L.A. gang members despite the certainty of death.
