Julietdanny: Nothing stops you from applying, you can go ahead as long as you have done IELTS and passed sufficiently and you have your qualifications evaluated. |

I don't have certification or license there either. I've been told that criteria applies to applicants based in Canada. If you have the minimum score 60, go ahead and attempt to submit your application, I'm hoping that it's still open. meta4: |

@meta4 No harm in trying. I will say go for it, unless the system doesn't allow you to submit the application. I saw this post on Canadavisa forum after my initial post. Guys go on and apply, you never know. Refer to this if you run into issues https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FwilYOq4h_L96DHtvJ4hD6BX0GPRMhTrgMe78jjV3LI/edit#gid=1219031269 evstigneeff: |

Hello house, i'm a newbie on this thread although i've read through most of the posts to learn the ropes. Please can someone help do a list of steps to take to promise land on the EE? I mean from application stage to when you do medicals and eventually qualify and travel. I want to apply for express entry with my Wife. We have two kids between us (Aged 4 and 2). I have done a self assessment and my work experience and age give me good points as well as my spouse. However,i still need to do ECA and i don't know what stage this will become necessary. I'm also aware of the need to have a valid job offer (I don't know if it's compulsory). |

On your travel update, you don't need to inform them. On the Surname issue, from my conclusion,it seems your former surname and new surname are all contained on the generic form... If this is so,no issues regarding it....these are not the type of issues that results in denial of application. I wouldn't mind if you explain better your usage of your new and old surname in your application. I want to be sure you have included a document that showed the change of name from old to new.... Does the documents you used contained the old or new surname? Which of it was used on your birth certificate? For myself,my surname is a shortened form of my surname...but the shortened form of my surname reflected on all my official documents and my birth certificate despite filling parents's name and siblings with my original surname....and there was no issue......so are you in the same scenario?....if yes,you are cool.If no,explain better. Not that the issue is a serious one, just want to be sure of how you used the names in your application so that we can be sure of raising a CSE or not. Don't also forget that, most applicants will be asked to update some forms especially during medicals. Cheers. Thanks for your kind reply.U and ur crew are doing a great job here. Let's assume A is the old surname and B is the new.And they are totally different not a shortened form. All my documents and application is in A.The only place B appeared is in generic form where they asked a name one has used before.I had to cancel it at last minute because I have never used B for anything before but the Barcode page didn't change and I had to submit it like that because I would have missed the deadline. Meanwhile,my birth certificate reads A for me and my parents but in the application their name has B. I didn't include any name change document because technically am not known or have ever used it. |

berexio1:@vivichocs, personally: ielts 39k, wes; 60k, peripherals(husling for schl to send my credentials twice. the twice means initial documents review and the other for final documents evaluation): 20k. i would estimate the range of 110k to 120k. i wrote my ielts last weekend at Ibadan, and my ECA is now in Evaluation stage. all the best. Now, learn from my experience> 1. speed post is actually fast, but i paid 10k for a package that arrived 4-5 days after.... on the second run, I used registered nipost mail for 500 bucks which arrived 8 days later(meanwhile, i was told it may take 14 working days at the post office.) if you wanna save some bucks, our own registered Nipost mail is economical if you have time on your side. 2.nipost may mess up at times. the tracking number on my package was changed without notifying me, it was not until i called the Nipost customer care number that i found on their website, that the new tracking number was given to me after one or two verifications. despite the mix up at nipost, i wished i had used them instead of the speed post i earlier used. 3. this is not an experience, it is still happening, it is an 'PRESPERINCE' , i live in osun state, with 6 months salaries unpaid |

chyke7000: 1.I was sure till the end of last year that University of Portharcourt certificates is not been evaluated by WES...its always displayed in red whenever you choose Nigeria as a country.Funny enough even though I cant seems to remember,I read someone who said WES evaluated the certificate for him/her....in all fairness,I cant confirm this to you. What I have noticed on their website unlike before is that its no more displayed on their website that they are not doing evaluation for them.I will advice you to send an email to them (contactca@wes.org) before you make an informed decision. 2.I want to believe CES is out of your oprions because as of few minutes ago,its been displayed that they do not do evaluation for Uniport. The options you have is that of ICAS or WES...but WES is subject to confirmation when you send mail to them...while we all know that ICAS will take time. I have a friend who used ICAS to evaluate his Msc certificate,He got the evaluated copy exactly one year from the day he initiated it Cheers. |

tola73:Thank you so much.. We're just two, my spouse and I. how much do we need each? Also, how do i get a list of schools whose certificates are evaluable by WES? Can't seem to find that on their website. Can one send professional certificates like SAP, BOSIET, HSE etc alongside certificate for verification? will that add additional marks? Then, wch does WES evaluate, Certificate or Transcript? And must the certificate/Transcript be sent directly by my school to them? I really appreciate y'all.. Please don't get bored by my questions. . Still a newbie. Thank you all. God bless |

fidelism:Thank you so much.. very helpful link.. So from the link, I will send Photocopy of my certificate myself while my school sends Transcript to them.. So WES doesn't evaluate professional certificates then? Also, I didn't see list of schools whose certificates are evaluable. . One more question please? Can me and my husband send our Certificates(I mean the photocopies?) together for evaluation? must it be done separately? Have a great sunday everyone. ... |

vivichocs: in Nigeria the only school exempted is Uniport. when you are registering on the website you would see that. You are expected to have ur WES ref number on your package, and you and ur husband would have personal ref number. logically, you should send the certs on different envelops, I mean separately. costly but safer. |
