Nobody said any fin was wrong with road travel. She wants to know if travelling by road to Ghana with a 6 week old baby is safe and you said yes she can, that women who go to America to deliver travel at 5 weeks.
That is by air biko.
The pressure of the cabin can't be compared to the dangers and stress that baby will be exposed to if taken by road, especially if the baby is yet to be immunised.
An adult who travels by road develops body ache, talk less of a neonate.

I disagree completely from the research Iv done online. The answer is still yes. You can advice her without joining issues with others that have contrary stance

@mrs2u if you chose to go ahead, wear the baby a full body suit and make sure he/ she is well covered with a shawl. Plan ahead and make sure you have all the things you need. You can check online, lots of tips there

All the best whatever you decide

I know black soap helps fade scars in adults skin so it should work for treating the actual infection and fading the resulting scars gradually. It is definitely worth trying.
Also take into consideration other things like the water you use to bath him, detergent used in washing his clothes and beddings.etc

thanks. I'd give it a trial

for mamas that use this red acalypha leaves to bath their babies. how do u do it? do u boil d leaves anytime u want to bath n use d entire water to bath d baby?

what I do is boil a large qty n keep use it for abt two days. I mix the leaves water with his bathing water. I'm wondering if its working as well as it should maybe I have to boil daily n use the entire pot of water to bath him at once.

thanks

Pls mothers.... what can i give my baby to make him have a soft poo? He is a month plus old, feeds more on formula, his poo is always hard and most times doesn't poo unless we put warm water in his anus..... was told to give seven seas cod liver oil.

Give him lots of water to drink daily. At least 100* ml.

I'm with MiracleMum on this one.

Lagos to Ghana is not Lagos to Cotonou. THAT journey is about 10hrs or so...if not more..and that is excluding travel within Lagos, immigration border wahala, and travel within Ghana. Even if she uses the most comfortable transport coy, the baby will still be stressed. A 6-week old baby is too young. If it was a private vehicle now, it's possible to put in a carry cot or a reclining car seat and also possible to avoid the germs and environmental pollution in a cramped-up bus. But even with a private car, I still would not advise anyone.

Madam, if you need a change of environment, there are many places in the west or within Lagos that you can go to. It is well with you.

I av d same issue here wt my LO o, d scar is on his chest and back. Same thing u complain about. Meanwhile, av stopped wearing cloth for him and all windows ar always closed for now(full time mum). I'm actually looking forward to when DH would b chanced to hep me get sebamed @ L/I, that's ma hope for now.....pls any mama's suggestion on ao to manage alefo n scar wld b appreciated o. Thank u
joyousf:

please does this black soap help with eczema n all these fungal infections. the last time I took my baby to see the paed she said the spots on his body was a fungal infection n gave me a clotrimazole cream. I actually believed it was the scars left by the alefo he had cos it was really much all over his chests when he was younger n someone told me it will take a while for the scars to go.

unfortunately his skin reacted to the clotrimazole cream so I rather apply abf cream which he tolerates better n also contains same percent of clotrimazole.

sincerely I don't know if the spots are getting better or not. on some days I think they are on others I don't think so.

I've been rubbing the cream now for almost three weeks. if its really fungal infection the thing should be obviously lesser. the more I think they are aleefo scars.

pls mamas that their babies had aleefo: how long does it averagely take for the scars to disappear n d skin color tone out?

I am seriously considering looking for another paed this is the second time her prescription didn't really help n the first time it even made things worse.Na for this thread I got suggestions that helped. maybe it doesn't mean she isn't competent sha. I just don't really look forward to our appointments n many times I go much later cos of my previous experience.

sorry for my long story...pls answer my question. thanks

i guess you are using the leaves for Elaa, my friend was using the whole pot to bath her son but noticed it was leaving a particular odour on her DS and was also leaving reddish stains on the towel and every thing she used to bath him. So she started boiling the leaves every morning. Then take out some quantity to mix with clear water while she uses the remaining (leaves) water at night. she did this continuously for two weeks before the Elaa cleared.

**smiles**
Bossladymo1 elucidated extensively on that.
I travelled at 6 weeks with my LO (by air) but her paed insisted she takes the necessary immunization and also gave me some very useful safety tips which i couldnt have gotten from the internet . It's just possible that this baby is yet to be immunized since the mum is having emotional issues.
I strongly believe she can have another option which may not be too convenient compared to the long trip.

I agreed with you especially on that stress issue. I know someone who lost her baby recently after long distance travel. She
Moved from east to north with her family, the last baby of abt 7-8weeks died 2days later. They said stress and cold despite the fact that they travelled in private car.

You want to give a baby with barely developed internal organs agbo? Agbo that is in its natural, unrefined and possibly toxic state? so that her tiny kidneys and liver would work extra hard to purify it abi

good luck......

Hi sweet mothers,

My baby will be 8 months on Friday.

He is not growing as he should. We went for 6 months immunisation last Friday of June(he was 7 months 16 days then) , he weighted 5.6kg. In short infact, he was the smallest baby among 6 and 7 months babies that came for the immunisation. Shame nearly killed me.

He stopped taking cerelac so I decided to buy pap. In the process of buying the pap, the seller asked me who wants to drink it, I told her my baby. She said why this small baby(imagine how small my baby is for her to say it). Then I told her my baby is approaching 8 months. Immediately, she removed my baby's socks and checked his leg. She said something is eating him up inside that it happened to her daughter too. She said my baby won't grow, that it can even kill.

Con see fear for my heart shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Alagbo woman checked his tummy and showed us green veins.

Though, my landlord said he knows it, that if I was in the village they will bath him with herbs and I will see the worm abi snail eating him coming out from his body.

To cut the long story short, my baby is taking agbo now. My Mil is giving him the agbo by force.

Abeg who has experienced this or have any idea about it?

I dey find my menses ooo. I need prayers. 3 days late
